National Scrapbooking Day 2016

Hello everyone!!!  Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day 2016!!!  Isn’t it amazing that we have a day to do thing but to craft!!!  I love it.

I created a couple of cards to celebrate the day.  Tombow’s Ambassador Program collaborated with a couple of different papercrafting companies and asked us to create some wonderful projects.

My first set of cards were created with Fancy Pants Designs amazing new release Attwell pattern paper and embellishments.  I’m in love. This is my first time playing with this company’s products and I hooked.

Check them out:

Card 1:

Hey U

I simple used the small tags as the focal point on my card! I thought about adding something else to this card but decided against it because it’s pretty just the way it is!!

Card 2:

Hi Mom

Now this card is my ultimate favorite!!!  I just LOVE this pattern paper!!  It’s an amazing watercolor piece!  I had to make this a Mother’s Day card!! We give out flowers on Mother’s Day and this paper showcases such beautiful flowers.

I wish I could watercolor like that!!  I will have to give it a try.

So what do you think?  Please let me know below.

Hello everyone!! This week Your Next Stamp Design Team is show you how to create Teachers Appreciation Gifts for any teachers in your life.  May 3rd is Teacher Appreciation Day this year and I’m going to show you how to make a 5 minute Teacher Appreciation Gift.

Teachers gifts (YNS)

I think these little boxes are the cutes thing.  They are even easier to create.

Here’s how:

  1. Use Stampin’ UP! Baker’s Box Thinlits Die to cut out two pieces out of Neenah Desert Storm card stock.
  2. Assembly the box according to the score lines.
  3. For box 1: Cut out 2×2 square pieces of pattern paper and adhere it to the four panels of the box.
  4. For box 2: Cut 13inches of ribbon and wrap it around the box, adhering it at the bottom of the box.
  5. For both boxes: Stamp the sentiment from Learning is Fun and the sentiment from Spectacular Teacher onto black card stock.  Sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat set.
  6. Die cut each tag out and adhere them to the box using foam tape.
  7. Close Box 1 by string ribbon through the holes.

Nice and easy.  What do you think? What are you creating for the teachers in your life?  Please let me know below.

The DT Dare Challenge this month is Paint the town red!!  The design team was asked to create a project using one of the new stamp sets from the February release.  I went with a new die for my project.

Take a look at my project:

Heart Gift bags (YNS)

To create this little gift bags, I die cut once for each bag.  The beauty of this die is you only need one piece of paper.

I die cut a piece of retired Stampin’ Up! DSP, folded the score lines added some Tombow Extreme Adhesive and assembly the bag.

I cut a piece of Tombow Fastener Tabs to create a closure for the bag.

I added the small white heart to the cover of the bag to finish it off.

I thought about stamping a sentiment but changed my mind.  They look nice just as they are.

What do you think?  Please let me know below.

CASology 182 – Adore

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 182 - Adore

Take a look at my card:

PicTapGo-Image

When I saw the cue card and who the sponsor was, I knew I had the perfect stamp set for this challenge!!

To create this card, I stamped the sentiment and two hearts from Concord & 9th Love You. Mean It., using Versafine Black ink.  Then I cut the front card panel down by 1.5 inches.  I then added a stripe of pattern paper behind that front panel.  I added some glossy accents to the two hearts for an added pop! Nice and easy!!

I created another card but thought it was way to simple.  I like this one!! I used the circle stamp this time!

Take a look:

Lifetime Adventure (TIMI)
I have to admit, this was my first time working with this type of block.  I headed straight to Pinterest to see how and what these block were.

I was blown away at the blocks I saw.  I tried to figure out how I could make my block look as fabulous as the ones I saw.  Then I thought, my style is Clean and Simple so why not just do that?

So, I want with a Clean and Simple ATB box!!!!

Here are the other views:

Smile for me (TIMI)

Take Flight (TIMI)
To create this block, all I did was cut Ken Oliver Studio Pattern Paper to the size of the block. Then I added Tim Holtz ChitChat Verbiage to each side of the block. I also added Tim Holtz Mini Gears and Mirrored Stars to the block.

Nice and easy!!

Now its your turn to play along with us.
