National Coffee Day!!!

CoffeeLoversBloghopLogo-1024x682Hello everyone! I’m here today joining our friend Chaitali from Cuts, Crops and Creativity and her Coffee themed Blog Hop today.

We are celebrating National Coffee Day!!!  Prior to this hop, I had no clue there was an actual day for coffee.  How cute!!

Here is my card for today’s hop:

National Coffee Day

To create my card I used Sweet Stamp Shop Coffee Town Stamp Set.

Who doesn’t like a nice coffee house to spend some times with friends.  Here in NY, we have so many of those places in and around the city.

I have to admit I’m not a coffee drinker.  I am a (tea) lover.  Please do not yell at me but I just am.  So, to really get in the mood, I asked my mom, who loves her coffee a couple of questions about her obsession with her coffee mug in the morning.

1. When did you start drinking coffee?

I started drinking coffee a couple of years ago.  I’m not sure why it started but once I tried it I was hooked.

2. What is favorite brand?

My favorite brand, that is hard.  I really like McDonald’s coffee.  They really know how to make it right.  If I have to make it myself I like Starbucks Colombia Medium coffee.

3. What is the most amazing coffee that you had? Remember where and when?

LOL, I was at a dinner party with some friends in Jamaica, WI and we were served Blue Mountain coffee and it was to die for. That was about two years ago, which was the last time I was there.

4. If I don’t drink my needed coffee, I will…?

If I don’t drink my needed coffee, I will have a headache early in the morning.

Thanks mom, for accommodating me today.

So today’s blog hop comes with a bunch of giveaways today.  You don’t want to miss out on this fun event.  Check out all of the hop sponsors and prize packages.

Die-cut Turn Stencil, How?

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #179: Emboss Resist Using Diecut.

make-it-monday

I’m so excited to be able to play along with them this week.  I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to play with them in awhile.

I’m also playing along with Simon Says Stamp: Create Your Own Background!

wed-newchallenge-header Laura Bassen showed us how to stretch our die cuts by using them as a stencil to emboss resist!  I had so much fun creating this card.

Take a look at my card:

Hello Someone Loves You

1. I used Papertrey Ink’s Circle Die Cover Plate to create my background.

Stencil made

2. I  die cut the cover plate and taped it down over my Neenah Solar White Card Stock card panel.

3. I applied the Versamark Ink directly on top of my circle stencil.

4. I added Hero Arts White Embossing powder to the versamark card panel.  I heat set it.

5. I blended Papertrey Ink Summer Sunrise, Hibicus Burst and Pure Poppy with my Mini Ink Blending Tool on my embossed card base.

6. I used a damp napkin and wiped of the ink from my embossed circle so that they look nice and white.

7. I cut two scribbles out of vellum using the Papertrey Ink’s Circle Scribbles Die.

8. I cut two hello’s from Lawn Fawn Scripty Hello Die out of Stampin’ Up! Basic Black cardstock.

9.  I stamped my sentiment from Papertrey Ink Wet Paint III on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

10. I adhered the scribbles down with Tombo Multipurpose Glue, then added the hello die on top of that. I added the stamp sentiment underneath the hello.

11. I added Wink of Stella to the hello die cut.

I think this card turned out very pretty.  I love how the colors blended together.  So tell me what you think.

Today Is A Good Day!!

Hello everyone!  I’m here today playing along with the Muse Challenge #80 this week.  The Muse this week is Therese Calvird.

Take a look at her card:

Amazing!Therese Calvird

Take a look at my card that I created:

Today

I wanted to keep this card nice and simple just like Therese card. I’m not really good with floral stamps.  I never know what to do with them.  So I used these blossom stamps because they are easier to maneuver to me.

1. I cut my card base out of Bazzill Marshmallow to an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50 scored at 5.50).

2. My card panels are Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Bliss (3.75 x 5) and Hello Honey cardstock (3-10/16 x 4-14/16).

3. On the Hello Honey cardstock, I stamped Papertrey Ink’s Oopsie Daisy stamp set with Memento Black Ink.

4.  I stamped the inside of the flower using the same stamp set with Hello Honey ink.

5. I used Papertrey Ink’s Circle Scribbles Die to cut out the medium scribble with Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

6. I adhered that scribble piece with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.

7. I used Papertrey Ink’s Wet Paint Cuts II ” Today” from Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock.  I adhered that to the scribble with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.

8. I added Stampin’ Up! Rhinestones to the center of the flowers.

Very easy, simple card to recreate.

So, what do you think?  Do you like this card? Let me know.
