Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 189 - Doodle

Take a look at my card:

Just a note

When I saw the cue card, I thought about drawing my own design, LOL!!  Are you kidding me.  Not this time around.  Let me practice some more before I put myself out their.

So I want straight to the stamp set that was all about doodling, WPlus Nine Doodle Bud!

I just finished creating 105 wedding invites and had tons of scrap paper so I asked on Instagram what should I do with all of that paper and everyone said use it to create cards.

Scrap paper

So this is the first card I created using the left over paper.  This card isn’t an A2 card.  Its smaller!!  I think it’s perfect.

Creating this card was easy, I just stamped the images using the Mini Misti and colored them in using Tombow’s Recycled Coloring Pencils and Sand Eraser.

Nice and easy!!

What do you think?  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

For more inspiration, check out my fellow Design Team members blog for more awesome work.

Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Second Post for today
If your looking for Right At Home National Craft Month Blog Hop, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with the Sparkle and Shine Challenge!!!

Since its the 15th of the month, its time for our new challenge!!!

Here is the inspiration photo that guided us this time around:

March 15_2016

Now take a look at my card:

Bunny felt (SSS)

I have to admit I was stuck when I saw the inspiration photo.  I don’t have any wreath stamps or dies.  The colors aren’t my favorite either.  What do I do?

This weekend my mother taught my daughter and nieces how to stitch and I remembered I had the Simon Says Stamp Stitch die, and the bunny at that. So I went with that.  I’ve never used any type of stitching on my cards.  So this was a bit fun.

The basket was created with felt but bunny, his carrot and flowers were created with paper (I didn’t have felt in those color, LOL)

Nice and some what easy!!

What do you think?

Now its your turn to give this challenge a try!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Right At Home!!

The winner of this challenge will receive a $15 gift card to their online store and will be asked to be our Guest Designer for the next month.

National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop

national-craft-month-banner

Happy National Craft Month!!  Isn’t this amazing that we have a whole month dedicated to what we love to do, which is creating beautiful things!!

I’ve been super busy this month crafting like crazy.  I’ve never been so busy in all of my years of crafting.  I have to admit, I love it!!  I’m highly stressed but my best work comes to me in times like this.

Right at Home has decided that we would celebrate this amazing month with an amazing blog hop!!

The design team was challenged to create a project using our favorite products and share that with all of you!!

I thought this was a fabulous idea.  The only thing is, how do I pick what my favorite product out of all of the goodies I own.  LOL!!

Take a look at my card and see if you can guess what my favorite things are:

Blessed (RAH)

Can you see what I see?  Oh baby, I’m in love!!

Lets take a closer look:

Blessed close up (RAH)

Can you see all of that foiled goodness now?  OMG, I love it!!  So now you know one of my favorite products, Thermoweb Deco Foil, any color. The other is Right At Home Scripted Greetings Stamp Set.  My signature style is Clean and Simple.

This card looks amazing in person.  You can move it back an forth and see all of the different colors.

I’m also a lover of sequin .  I didn’t add them to this card because it would over do it and take away from the beautiful foil.

So you want to know how I create this card:

I cut Heidi Swapp Minc Signature Paper to 4.5 by 5.50.

Then I cut Themoweb Deco Foil Rainbow to fit on the front of the water card panel.

I ran it thought my laminator to transfer the foil on to the paper.  Since the stars contain toner, the foil stuck to the stars.

After that I  stamped the sentiment using the Mini Misti and Versafine Black Onyx ink.  I stamped twice so that the sentiment would stand out from the stars.

I sprinkled Stampin’ Up! Clear Embossing powder over the sentiment, since the ink takes a while to dry, adding the embossing powder will give the sentiment an extra kick.

That’s my card!!  What do you think?  What is your favorite product? Please let me know below.

Now for the hop!!  You have to hop along leaving a comment on each of the blogs participating in order to win a prize.   More details on the prize, had back to Right At Home Blog.

Next up is fabulous Yuki!! Her projects are always amazing.  I can’t wait to see what she created!!

Once again, Happy National Craft Month!!

CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge Inspiration

I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge for the month of January.

This month’s theme is Take a Stamp!!  That means take any stamp and create something, anything goes!! Now if that isn’t easy, I’m not sure what is!!

Take a look at my card:

Miss You Man (TIMI) copy

I love this stamp set from Concord and 9th.  I’m learning all bout brush lettering so this stamp set is so fitting for me.  It inspires me to keep going.  Maybe one day my handwriting will be a stamp.

Creating this card was easy:

  1. I used Concord and 9th Sophisticated Script stamp set to build my own sentiment.
  2. Then I used the Mini Misti to arrange the letters the way I want them to appear on the card.
  3. After that I used Versafine ink to stamp the sentiment on to the Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.
  4. To finish off the card I added Your Next Stamp Red Gumdrops and round one corner.

Nice, easy and quick!!

Prizes:

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for January is: Basement Studio!

Exciting right!!  It sure is for me!!

The DT Dare Challenge this month is Celebrate Women!!  The design team was asked to create a project using one of the new stamp sets from the March release.  I went with a new Cute Alpha Squares Stamp for my project.

Take a look at my project:

I am women (YNS)

I went with a very clean black and white style card!!  When creating my card, I thought about all of the women in the women in the world that has to prove to everyone that they are capable of doing great things.   This is such a great mantra!

This is a very simple card to create.

The card size is 4 by4 and the front card panel is 3.5 by 3.5.

I positioned the stamps on the card panel and closed my Mini Misti so that I could stamp more then once just in case the ink is splotchy.

I added foam to the back of the panel and adhered that to the card base.

Nice and easy!!

I created another card using an other stamp because it fits the theme as well.

Brave women (YNS)

CASology 188 – Laugh

Second Post for Today
If your looking for the Right At Home March Release Blog Hop, click here

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 188 - Laugh

Take a look at my card:

Laugh (CAS)

When I saw the cue card, I knew I had to use the Mama Elephant Photo Bomb stamp set.  I bought this stamp set when it came out and I never used it.  I wasn’t sure how I would color the image in so I never took it out of the packaging.

I finally took it out because I knew I wanted to use my Tombow Recycle Colored Pencils.  I have to say I have a love affair with these pencils.  They are easy to use and they blend well.

Here is how I created this card:

  1. First I used the Mini Misti to place the stamps exactly were I wanted them to be.
  2. Then I used My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink to stamp the images and sentiment.
  3. Once that was done, I used Tombow Recycled Colored Pencils to color in the images.
  4. To create the highlights in the hair, I used Tombow Sand Eraser to create the highlights.
  5. To finish the card off, I rounded the top two corners.

Nice and easy!!

What do you think?  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Right At Home March Release Blog Hop

Hello everyone!!  I’m excited to be here with you today to sharing an amazing project created for the Right At Home March Release Blog Hop!!  This is the design team third blog hop and we are delight to full you with inspiration.

march-release-cover-photo

The new Abstract Florals and Script Greeting stamp sets are so much fun to play with.  I have to admit the Abstract Floral stamp set is totally out of my comfort zone.  I can’t figure out which inks to use to build the flowers.  Play with this set, has helped me a lot.

Take a look at my cards:

Hello (RAH)

I love how my flowers turned out. I shied away from building my flowers this go round but you will see that later this month.

Here’s how I created these cards:

  1. Both cards are an A2 size cards, 4.25 by 5.50 scored at 5.50.
  2. I used the Mini Misti to stamp the flowers, stem and sentiment all at one time using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink.  It saved me time on the second card as well, since everything was in the right place.
  3. After the flowers were stamped, I used Tombow Recycled Color Pencils to color them in.
  4. Once the flowers were all colored, I took Tombow Mono Sand Eraser and give the tip of the flowers some highlights.
  5. I added some YNS Give Thanks for Sparkle and Candy Land Glittered Gumdrops and round the top corners to finish the cards off.

I’m going to make a couple more of these cards so that I can include them in the happymail packages that I send to my giveaway winners.

Your next stop on this awesome hop is Yuki’s blog! She is amazing!!

What’s a hop without a giveaway!! One lucky person who hops along and leaves a comment on each blog will win the Scripty Greeting stamp set.

So what do you think? Let me know below.

Learning Brushlettering

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today today to share with you my Brush-lettering journey.

I decided back in January that I wanted to learn Calligraphy and I started with Brush-lettering.  I have to admit, I’m having so much fun!! Really, I am.  It take a lot of discipline and I learning to have that trait.

I’ve always struggled with handwriting and thought this would help me to improve that.  Is that backwards or what. In any case, this is apart of my moving {forward} movement!!

Are you ready to see my journey?

Lets start with all of the items I use on this process:

My supply lists:

  1. HP Premium Choice Laser Paper, Smooth 32lb Paper
  2. Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen, Soft Tip, Black
  3. Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen, Hard Tip, Black
  4. Copperplate Practice Paper

My online learning resources:

  1. Sharisse from Blog: Pieces Calligraphy, Instagram: @piecescalligraphy, Periscope: @piecescalligraphy
  2. Nina Tran from Blog: Anintran, Instagram: @anintran Periscope: @anintran

I love both of these ladies!!  They are very helpful and supportive.  Follow their blog as well as their Instagram and Periscope accounts.  I love watching their drills.

Thanks to Sharisse from Pieces Calligraphy, she introduced me to another resource:

  1. Mastering Copperplate Calligraphy: A Step-by-Step Manuel

I also created my own book out of the practice sheets and my We R Memory Keepers Cinch.

My book

I’ve also tried these pens as well:

  1. Sharpie Brush Tip Pens
  2. Koi Watercolor Brush Pens
  3. Tombow Brush Markers

I love working with these brushes but I need more practice forming my letters before I venture out with these bigger brushes.

Now take a look at my process:

Note: The sheets you see in these photos are sheets I printed from Printable Paper before I was advised to get the pages with the slates.
