Exciting right!!  It sure is for me!!

The DT Dare Challenge this month is ABC (Anything But A Card)!!  The design team was asked to create a project using one of the new stamp sets from the September release.

Take a look at my project:

Dill 1 (YNS)

YNS Supplies: Dill-ightful Stamp Set, Dill-ightful Die Set

Other Supplies: Retired Stampin’ Up Storytime DSP, Retired Stampin’ Up Kraft box, Copic Markers, Stampin Up Button, My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink

Here’s how I created this card:

All I did was cut 4 pieces of the  DSP to 3.50 x 2.50 for the sides and the pieces for the top of the box was cut to 3.50 x 3.50 and 3.25 x 3.25.  I adhered the pieces to the box.

Then I color the pickles using my Copic Markers: YG23, YG25, R20.  I die cut them out and adhered them to the box.

After that I stamped my sentiment and adhered it behind the baby pickle.

I cut 3 strips of the same DSP and created a bow for the top of the box. I added a button in the center of the bow.

CASology 163: Moon

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 163 - Moon

Take a look at my card:

Brighter because of you (CAS)

I have to be very honest with all of you.  I had no clue what I was going to do with this cue card becasue I do not have any stamp sets with a moon.  I really struggled with this cue.  Then I remembered I had a paper pack with a moon in it and then the light bulb went off.  LOL!!!!

All I did was die cut the moon out of the paper and adhered it to my card front and stamped my sentiment from Mama Elephant Bling Stamp Set with My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

YNS: Spooky Spells, Candy Corn Gumdrops, Spellbound GumdropsOther Supplies: My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink, Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock, Recollections White Cardstock

For this card, I stamped and color all of my images from this new fun set.  I stamped the flask and pot first.  Then I masked them off and stamped my bench.  After that I colored the images with Copic Marker: YR68, G07, C1, C5, C7, C3, V15, E33, E35, E37. I stamped my sentiments at the end.

I layered that card panel on top of my card base.  I sprinkled some gumdrops in random place on my card.

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge for the month of September.

This month’s theme is Take a Stamp!!  That means take any stamp and create something, anything goes!! Now if that isn’t easy, I’m not sure what is!!

Take a look at my card:

Sending Warm Wishes (TIMI)

I love how my little tree turned out!!  I love the look of all of those fall colors.  I’m a Summer girl but Fall sure is pretty too.

Here is how I created this card:

I used Lawn Fawn Small Stitch Square Stackables to die cut my stitched square panel.

I used Hero Arts Color Layering Fall Trees Stamp Set and layered stamped my leaves.  I used Lawn Fawn Freshly Cut Grass, Lobster, Fake Tan and Walnut.

I stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set and stamped it with the Walnut ink.

I added Lawn Fawn Trimming around the card panel.

I attached the card panel to an orange panel then added those panels to my card base.

I added Lucy Abrams Just Peachy and Rainforest Sparkly Shaker Sequin to the card front.

I love how this turned out!!  Now its your turn to play along with us!!!

YNS Sketch and Color Challenge #22

Hello everyone!!!  I’m here today with Your Next Stamp (YNS) and the Sketch and Color Challenge #22!!

Each challenge has a sketch and a color combo to choose from.

Take a look at the sketch:

Take a look at the color combo:

I choose to go with the sketch again!!  Take a look at my card:

A Friendly Hello (YNS)

YNS Supplies:Your Next Stamps Phoebe with her Wagon Stamp SetYour Next Stamp Phoebe with her Wagon Die Set,Crystal Clear Gumdrops

Other Supplies:Pink Fresh Studio Happy Things Pattern Paper, Copic Markers, Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Square Stackables, 3M Foam Tape,

I must say I love this card!!  The colors, the little dog, the wagon, the sentiment and the bow! It all just seems to fit so nicely.

I thought about cutting the pattern paper in have to leave a little white like the sketch but I didn’t like the way it looked so I used the bow as a separation piece.  I hope that works.

For this card:

All I did was add a piece of Pink Fresh Studio Happy Things Pattern Paper and add it to my card front.

Then I added a bow out of some white ribbon.

After that, I used Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Squares Stackables to die cut my white square panel.

I used Your Next Stamps Phoebe with her Wagon Stamp Set to stamp the sentiment, the little dog and the wagon.

Then I used Your Next Stamp Phoebe with her Wagon Die Set to die cut the wagon and the dog.

I colored the dog with Copic Marker E23, E25 and E27 and the wagon with R35 and R37.

Then I added the wagon and the dog to the square panel using foam tape.

To finish off the card, I added Crystal Clear Gumdrops behind the white square panel.

Nice and easy.  Did you notice that I used the wagon handle as the panel you see in the sketch.  I thought that was clever. Do you?

So what do you think? Let me know below!

So are you ready for the new challenge?

You have until September 17th at midnight EST to play along and submit your project on the YNS Blog post.  One random participant will win a $15 gift certificate to the Your Next Stamp Store.  If YNS stamps or dies are the focal point then the winner receives and additional $5 gift certificate fro a total of $20.  The winner will be announced on the YNS Blog the Sunday after the challenge closes.

I hope to see your projects!!

CASology 162 – Write

Second post for today
If your looking for the a2z Scrapbooking blog post, click here

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

I have to say I really love this week’s cue card.  I love to write but handwriting is the worst!!  LOL!!  I wish I took penmanship classes more seriously when I was in grade school.

I just hated writing, “The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog“. Do you remember writing that over and over and over again.  I never understood why we had to write that.  The reason is, that sentence contains every letter in the alphabet!!  Writing it, allowed us to write every letter!!!

We had a entire penmanship book.  The pages were similar to this but with more space to write:

Handwriting

If I knew what I know now, right, LOL!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 162 - Write

Take a look at my card:

Pratice Makes Perfect (CAS)

Here is how I created this card:

  1. I used Papertrey Ink’s Pencil Me In Patterned Paper to create my card front.
  2. After that I used Papertrey Ink’s Pencil Me In Die to cut out my pencil.  I adhered all of the pieces together using Plus Glue Tape Runner.
  3. Then I used Papertrey Ink’s Lunchbox Notes Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink on the card front and pencil.
  4. I used a black pen and scribbled in the line below the pencil.

Super fun and simple!!

Here are some closer looks:

Check out the card I created for this challenge:

Joy to the World (a2z)

Here is how I created this card:

  1. I cut the Bo Bunny Altitude Pattern Paper to 4.25 x 5.50, which is the size of my card base.
  2. Then I used a circle die to cut a circle in the center of my patten paper.
  3. After that I used the same die and my fuse tool and created a circle pocket for my sequin.
  4. I filled the pocket up with Lucy Abrams Iridescent White Sparkly Sequin.
  5. I attached the shaker pocket to the back of the pattern paper using Plus Glue Tape.
  6. I used my Misti to line the sentiment up with the open circle on the pattern paper so that my sentiment placement is correct.
  7. I used Hero Arts Joy To The World Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment with Hero Arts Memories Black Dye Ink.
  8. Once the ink dried completely, I added foam tape tot he back of the pattern paper and attached that to the card base.
