Week 201 - Sunshine

Take a look at my card:

Hello Sunshine (CAS)

Hello Sunshine!! I’m so glad summer is on its way.  I do not like the cold. I hate the cold.  I prefer 85 degree and above weather everyday of the week.

The “Sun” Rubber Dance Art Stamp is perfect for this week’s cue card!!  The sun can shine down on me all day long!!

Creating this card was a snap.

I used the Mini Misti to stamp the sun and part of the sentiment from WPLUS9 Sending Sunshine stamp set using My Favorite Thing Hybrid Black Ink and the last part part of the sentiment using Lawn Fawn Sunflower Ink.

Super easy, clean and simple!!

What do you think?  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 198 - Stencil

Take a look at my card:

Stenciling with distress inks

I really like this cue card this week.  I love working with Seth Apter Star Stencil and the Clarity Brushes. They help to create very clean and simple cards.

Here is how I created this card:

  1. I cut the cardstock down to an A2 card size 4.25 by 5.50, scored at 5.50.
  2. I placed the stencil on top of the cardstock and used the brushes to apply the Distress Ink Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed.
  3. Then I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Dare to Dream stamp set with Versafine Black ink.

That’s it!!  It takes less then 3 minutes to create this card.

Stenciling with Clarity Brushes

Creating this card was so easy, I couldn’t help myself, made two more cards!!

{Clean and Simple} CASology 197 – Tear

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 197 - Tear

Take a look at my card:

Hello cut 1 (CAS)

Lets take a better look:

Hello cut (CAS)

When I saw the cue card, I thought of tearing paper, but then I thought that wouldn’t be clean and simple.  So I decided to use my paper trimmer to cut the paper to give the tear a nice straight edge, LOL!!

This card can be sealed to be a try one layer card or left open and your message can be on the inside of the card.

I used retired Lawn Fawn Just My Type stamp set to stamp the scissors using Versafine Ink.

Then I used my paper trimmer to cut the paper as if the scissors cut it.

I used my bone folder to bend the paper.

After that, I stamped the sentiment on the inside using the Mini Misti.

Super easy, clean and simple!!

What do you think?  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Simple Stamping

Hello everyone!!  I’m over on So Suzy Stamps blog today!! I’m sharing how to create a Simple Stamping card!!

Sometimes we are on the go and just need a simple card that is created with much ease.

Take a look at my card:

Hope Hugs Kisses (SSS)

See how simple this card is!!

All I did was use My Favorite Things Stitched Strips die to create the background on the white cardstock.

Then using the Mini Misti, I stamped the Hope, Hugs, Kisses sentiment stamps all at once using Versamark Black Ink.

To add some color to this black and white card, I used Nuvo Crystal Drops Caribbean Ocean to add that interest.

Nice simple and easy.

What do you thing?  Please let me know below!

Take a look at my card:

Celebrate (CAS)

When I saw the cue card I thought of cupcakes right away!!  I couldn’t find my cupcake stamps but I ran into this Papertrey Ink Good Times stamp set that I never used.  I think I bought this last year and never inked it up.  So I thought this was a perfect time!!

Here is how I created it:

  1. Using the Mini Misti, stamped the dots on the top of the card base using Hero Arts Ombre Butter to Orange Ink.
  2. Using Versafine Black Ink to stamp the sentiment right under the ombre sprinkles.
  3. Round the bottom corners using the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

Super easy, clean and simple!!

  3. After that I used Versafine ink to stamp the sentiment on to the Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.
  4. To finish off the card I added Your Next Stamp Red Gumdrops and round one corner.

Nice, easy and quick!!

CASology – 176 Tree

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is :

Week 176 - Tree

Take a look at my card:

Pear Tree

I love watercoloring so I decided to do that technique for this clean and simple card.  I have to admit, I’m not impressed with my partridge.  The rest of my coloring, I love but that bird, doesn’t impress me.  It just means I need to practice it more.  I should have waited for each section of the bird to dry first before starting another color.

Despite all of that, I love how my card turned out.  This tree is super cute and perfect for the holiday season.

To create this card, all I did was stamp the tree and sentiment from retired Stampin’ Up! Partridge & Pears.  I used Akashiya Sai Watercolor Brush Pen to color the images in. It was super relaxing to watercolor today.

I had all of nieces on Sunday, so as I colored my image, I had them color theirs with crayons.

Take a look:

kids pear tree

They did a fantastic job.  Another great Sunday with my daughter and nieces!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
