30 Day Coloring Challenge Blog Hop

blog-hop-photo-for-bloggers

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Today is the FIRST day of a THREE DAY blog hop to jumpstart your creativity. If you’re new to the coloring challenge or have any questions about the coloring challenge you can refer to this post.

If you are coming from the talented Lisa Tilson’s blog you are in the right place. To start at the beginning of the hop go to The Daily Marker’s blog.

This is the 6th coloring challenge and I’ve participated in all of them.  I totally love this challenge. It allows me to really focus on my coloring.  Whether it be with crayons, color pencils, markers, watercolors and/or watercolor crayons I get to focus on one thing at a time and really try my best to understand the medium I’m using.

For the last challenge I only used watercolors to color my images!  I had a lot of fun learning all about how the colors mix together.

Take a look at some of my coloring from the last challenge a couple of months ago:

day-1-of-the-30-day-coloring-challenge day-26-of-the-daily-marker-30-day-challenge

For this current challenge, I decided not to use any stamped images.  I will use Adornit’s Art Play Paintables.  They are ready to be colored with any medium.

I’m using my Prismacolor pencils.  I have 132 of them and only use them once!!  It is time to take them out and play with them.  I just bought a online class from Kit and Clowder and they use those pencils too so that will help as well.

I might make a card or two this year but I really just love coloring!  So we will see what these cute paintable sheets will turn out to be.

Take a look at what I’ve done for Day One of this new challenge:

Love

Here is Day Two:

image-1

I’m having so much fun with my coloring!

Here is what I’ve learned thus far:

  1. Mixing coloring isn’t so bad.  Just try it!
  2. Prismacolor pencils are super soft and you must be careful with this pencil.  The slightest pressure can break the tip of this pencil.
  3. With Gamsol, blending out the colors are super easy.

What’s a blog hop with out a giveaway!!!!!

GIVEAWAY : 12 GOODIE BAGS ! That’s TWELVE CHANCES TO WIN during the three day hop. The more you comment on each hoppers blog or instagram the more chances you have of winning. Winners will be chosen randomly FROM THE BLOGS and INSTAGRAM hop comments. The full list of winners will be announced Wed. Nov 16th 9 am. on The Daily Marker Blog.  The contest closes 11.13 at 11pm. EST.

Now it’s time to hop on over to my super crafty friend, Dana Joy’s blog for more coloring goodness!
Thank you for your visit today and I hope to see you during the coloring challenge. Be sure to use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day so we can find your work or you can join the Facebook group.

Creating this card was so super simple.  I stamped each flower and stem from the stamp set using the different color inks.  Then I used the scripted letters to create the sentiment.  Nothing to it.

When I bought this stamp set I had no idea our former CASology teammate May Park design this set!!  I totally love her designs.

Are you inspired to play along?  Please let me know below!

Embellishments – a2z Scrapbooking November 2016 Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with a a2z Scrapbooking Challenge. The theme this month is Embellishment!!embellishment

Take a look at my card:

img_7134

Using the layering stamp sets make it so easy to create beautiful images.  I used the guide that came with the stamp set and inked and stamped the images according to the guide. I started with the lighest color, then the middle color to the darker color.  Nice and easy.

I used a Copic Multiliner to create the dash lines to create movement after stamping the sentiment at the bottom of the card.

To finish the card off I added a rhinestone at the end of the sentiment.

I made two cards:

just-flitting-by-2

Super, super easy to create.

I hope you love what you see and that it inspires you to join us this month. You have the entire month to create a new project and enter it into our challenge. By entering you will have a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. Winner will be announced on the 7th of December.  Good Luck!

{Clean and Simple} CASology 220 – Cure

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

week-221-cure

Take a look at my card:

big-hugs-cas

I thought this Neat & Tangled Big Hugs die was perfect for this challenge.  When I think of “cure”, you can’t help but to think of big hugs.  I love the size of this die along with the font used to create it.

Here is how I created this card:

I die cut the sentiment out of  Thermoweb Deco Foil Peal and Stick Toner Sheets. Then I cover the die cut with Deco Foil Pewter Transfer Sheets and ran it through the Royal Sovereign Laminator.  Nice and easy!!

I love how foil looks on my cards.

For the rest of the card, I used Neat & Tangled Scalloped Nice and Neat Dies to cut out We R Memory Keepers Urban Chic pattern paper. I adhered the pattern paper to the black card base using foam tape.

Can you see the Pewter Deco Foil?  So pretty in person.

YNS Feature Day – Favorite Technique

Hello everyone!!!  I’ here today with another YNS creation to inspire you and a chance to win a stamp set of your choice!!

On the 22nd of the month, YNS Design Team creates more samples featuring YNS products and shares them with all of you!!

The super duper awesome part of it all besides our awesome samples, you could win a stamp set of your choice!!  Now how super cool is that!!

Scroll to the bottom to find out how!!

This month we are focusing on “Favorite Technique”!!  The DT created projects related to the technique they love the most.

My favorite technique is creating shaker cards/tags. I love creating the shaker pockets.  Its so much fun and relaxing.

Now take a look at the card I created to inspire you:

happy-halloween-shaker-tag-yns

YNS Supplies: SpookTacular Halloween Stamp Set, Scallop Circle Die Set,Happy Haunting Die Set

Other Supplies: Little Things Spider’s Web Sequin, Vellum, Clearsnap Colorbox Black Embossing Powder, We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, We R Memory Keepers Fuseables Clear Sheets, Small safety pin, We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile, Black Ribbon, Versamark, Tombow Mono Adhesive

Creating this simple tag was super easy to do.  I used the fuse tool to trace the outside of the scallop circle die to seal the edges, leaving a small opening.  I die cut the ghost and added them plus the sequin inside the scallop fuseable sheet.  After that I sealed the scalloped sheet.  Then I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole and added the ribbon.

Now its time to add the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and sprinkled black embossing powder on top. I heat set it and adhered it to the front of the shaker pocket with Tombow Mono Adhesive.

What do you think?  Would you give this technique a try? Let me know below.

Now on to that prize!!

So head on over, you don’t want to miss this one!!
