Rubber Dance Stamp July 2017 Theme Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with the Rubber Dance Stamp for the last time as a design team member!! I had so much fun being on this team. I’ve learned so much from the talented ladies on this team. Their creativity is endless and beautiful and for that I’m grateful for the opportunity to work along side of them.

So Bibi, Susanne and the entire team – Thank You from the bottom of my heart! I have a love for mixed media and can’t wait to play along with your challenges as a participant.

Now onto today, July 2017 Theme Challenge!

Take a look at my tag:

I had so much creating this tag. I recently took an online class that taught me about the color wheel and how to use colors. I created a postcard size switch using three colors next to each other. I used blue, green and yellow green.

When I saw the theme for this challenge I knew I wanted to use this postcard.

Using Neat and Tangled Scalloped Die set cut out the tag.

Using the Mini Misti, stamp the Dragonfly and the sentiment from Rubber Dance Stamps Beautiful Bugs and Something Wonderful stamp set using black ink.

Then use We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Power Punch to punch a hole in the tag.

Now it time to get the ribbon colored. Using Tim Holtz Crinkle Ribbon, cut three pieces.

Spray them with Altenew Ink Spray Ocean Wave, Frayed Leaf, and Warm Sunshine. Crinkle in your hand and then dry it with a heat tool.

Add them to the tag and your done.

I love how this turned out and I love that is is my last project as a member of this team.

Rubber Dance Stamp July 2017 Color Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with Rubber Dance Stamp July 2017 Color Challenge!

I love these colors. They are so pretty together and they are happy colors. I worried about the purple and yellow becoming muddy when mixed together but it didn’t happen. These colors mixed so nicely.

To create this card:

I added the three colors of paint to the gel press plate and used a brayer to spread the colors around. Once that was done, I place the mixed media paper on top of the gel press plate to create an impression.

Then I used Rubber Dance Stamps Something Wonderful and Round in Circles to add the sentiment and details to the card front.

Rubber Dance Stamp June 2017 Color Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with Rubber Dance Stamp June 2017 Color Challenge!

Take a look at the colors for this challenge:

To create this card:

I place StencilGirl Circles Circles Stencil on top of a clean 8 x 10 Gel Press plate.
Then I sprinkled Vicki Boutin Acrylic Paints in Saltwater Taffy, Watermelon Burst, and Toasted Marshmellow on top of the stencil.
I used a brayer to mix the paint on top of the stencil and gel press plate.
Once the colors are to my satisfaction, I lift the stencil and press the gel press onto my paper.
Once the paint dried, I stamped Rubber Dance Stamp Fly Fly Flowers using Stazon ink.
For the sentiment I used some stickers and added black crayon around them so that they stand out.
To finish the card off, I added the painted panel to a black card base.

Rubber Dance Stamp May 2017 Theme Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with Rubber Dance Stamp May 2017 Theme Challenge!!

Rubber Dance Stamp

I’m in love with this face stamp set called Face Up. It comes with three different faces, big to small. I paired it with Artfully Stamped. The sentiment is perfect.

So for the Rule of Theme, I created three ATC cards with three elements: paint, image stamp and a sentiment stamp!! Yayyyy!!

I love creating these ATC cards. I used an old mixed media piece that I created weeks ago but wasn’t sure what to do with it. Until now!!!

I just 3 ATC cards – size 2.5 by 3.5. Then I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the image and sentiment at the same time on all three cards. It took me 5 minutes from start to finish.

Super simple and easy!!

Rubber Dance Stamp May 2017 Color Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with Rubber Dance Stamp March 2017 Color Challenge!

Take a look at the colors for this challenge:

Now, these colors are amazing. They remind me of spring and summer time, which are both my seasons.

To create this card:

I used StencilGirl August 2014 Mary Beth’s Private Collection 14.2 stencil and Wendy Venchi Embossing Paste to added textured to the front to the white panel.
I squeezed a couple of drops of PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic paints in Cherry Red, Tango and Bubble Gum on a blending palette.
Using my finger, I added the different colors to the panel front. Mixing them in different places.
Once that dried, I used Rubber Dance Stamp Art Defined Stamp to stamp the sentiment right in the middle of the card panel using Stazon Jet Black Ink.
Then I trimmed the card panel down and adhered it to the front of the black card base.

Rubber Dance Stamp April 2017 Theme Challenge

I think I’m addicted to these colors. I just notice my last challenge I used the same colors!! LOL!!

Here is how I created these tags:

I used a couple of scrap pieces of a master board that I created weeks ago using a Gel Press Impressable Overlapping Circles Plate.
I used Reverse Confetti Tag Me, Too Confetti Cut to die cut two tags out of the master board.
I stamped Rubber Dance Stamp Artists Plate and Rounds in Circle to add some black to the tag.
I die cut two tags out of black cardstock to add to the back of the masterboard tags using Tombow Mono Adhesive +.

Rubber Dance Stamp April 2017 Color Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with Rubber Dance Stamp March 2017 Color Challenge!

Take a look at the colors for this challenge:

They are so pretty!! I would not have thought to put these colors together but I’m so glad I did.

Check out my card:

To create this card:

I squeezed a couple of drop of Liquitex Basic Paint Burnt Umber, Titanium White and Liquitex Heavy Body Light Blue paint on the front of the card front.
Then I used a palette knife to smear the paint.
After that I heat set the paint.
Once it dried, I used Stazon ink to stamp the sentiment from Rubber Dance Stamp Think Again stamp set.
To finish the card off, I used We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch Board to round all four corners.

Lets take a closer look at that texture:

I love the textured on this card and the colors are so pretty!!

Rubber Dance Stamp March 2017 Theme Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with the Rubber Dance Stamp Theme Challenge!!

The theme is “Everything Spring”! All you have to do is create a piece of work that has a lot of layers.

Check out what I created to inspire you:

I have to admit, I’m having fun playing with a little mixed media!! You are free to create and not worry about mistakes. Totally awesome.

Here is how I created these cards:

Cut the Bristol cardstock to 3.25 by 10, scored at 5.50.
Add some Koi watercolor to your Gel Press Plate.
Add more color if you need to.
Once you have all of the colors you want, place your cardstock on top of the gel press plate.
Take your time and lift the cardstock to reveal the fun watercolor patterns.
When the watercolor dries, stamp Rubber Dance Stamps Textured Flowers randomly on the card front.
To add more texture to the card front, stamp the smaller textured stamps randomly around the flowers.
To finish the card off, round the bottom corners using the Tab Punch Board.

To create this card:

Stamp the round circles from Rubber Dance Stamps Round in Circles stamp set on the right side of the card starting at the bottom working your way to the top. I used Distress Ink Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed.
Then I stamped the sentiment using Rubber Dance Stamps Happy Birthday using Stazon Ink.

Rubber Dance Stamp February 2017 Theme Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with the Rubber Dance Stamp Theme Challenge!!

The theme is “Lots of Layers”! All you have to do is create a piece of work that has a lot of layers.

Check out what I created to inspire you:

I tried to keep my tag pretty simple since that is more my style, but I also wanted to play around with some mixed media.

Are you asking yourself, where are the layers? I was hoping that you would ask.

Here you go:

I add gesso on the top of the tag and let it dry.
Then I blended Distressed Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Seedless Preserve.
After that, I used Rubber Dance Stamps Round in Circles stamped paired with StazOn Jet Black Ink to stamp the circles.
Then I used the Rubber Dance Stamps Think Again stamp set to stamp the sentiment with the StazOn Ink.
To finish the tag off, I colored the Crinkle Ribbon with Mustard Seed reinker and added it to the tag.

Thats four layers!!! Yayyy!
