bloghop-maingraphic-juliacelebrates10K

Hello everyone!!  Welcome to the Celebrate Kindness Blog Hop!! If you arrived here from the talented Keren’s blog you are on the right track.  If you arrived here on your own, you will want to start from the beginning at our guest of honor’s blog, the wonderful Julia.

I’m here today with a super special blog hop for Julia Altermann from Just One More Card to celebrate two things:

  1. Reaching 10K YouTube Subscribers, and
  2. to say Happy Birthday to her!!!!!!

Aren’t those two fantastic reasons to celebrate!! I think so and I feel so honored to be apart of this celebration.

Are you wondering how Julia and I met? Let me give you the story!!

I can’t remember where I saw this card by Julia two years ago but when I saw it, I was in love. I had to find out more.

GSD-2BChristmas-2BDigis-2B-2B1

I visited her blog and I feel in love with her style.  She had a video to show me how to create this card and I had to try it.

She introduced me to Gerda Steiner Design, because of her I purchase so many of Gerda’s stamps. Which started a friendship with Gerda and I.  Thanks Julia for that!

That’s not all, Julia has introduced me to so many other great people and crafty stuff!

Let me think:

  1. Prismacolor Pencils
  2. Purple Onion Design
  3. Stabilo Pens
  4. Kit and Clowder Online Coloring Classes
  5. Bloobel Digi
  6. Polychromous Color Pencil
  7. Uni-Ball Signo Broad Point Gel Pen

The most important of them is her Friendship!!  Although Julia is Germany and I am in the US, we have great conversations, when time permits and I am grateful for that.

So now you know some of our background let the fun begin.  I decided to case one of her cards for this hop.  It only makes sense she inspires me so much!

Here is Julia’s card that I cased:

Julia's card

Here is my card:

Happy Birthday Julia!!

I wish you many, many, many more!!

I created another card just because Julia is that wonderful!! Clean and simple is my style so that is what I wanted to create for Julia!

Just for you Julia!!  You are wonderful and I’m so glad to have met you.

Congrats on your successful YouTube channel and Happy Birthday!!

Wait I have one more card for you:

  3. After that, I trimmed the watercolor panel down, then I used Hero Arts Congrats Stamp and Cut and cut out the sentiment out of the panel.
  4. I die cut the sentiment out of some white card stock and glued them together.
  5. Then I adhered the watercolor panel to the card base.
  6. After that, I glued the sentiment together, then I inlayed them back into the panel.
  7. I added three black pearls for an added touch.

CASology 150 – Graduation

Hello everyone!! It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back with another Cue Card for you!!

I totally loved last week’s cue card.  That stamp is my favorite.  She is so full of detail and intense.  I hope you enjoyed it!

Now on to this weeks cue card:

Week 150 - Graduation

Now take a look at my card:

Graduation (CAS)

I love this wavy graduation card.  Graduations are suppose to be fun and exciting.

My son is graduating high school next year and I can’t wait.  We are going to have so much fun.  I can’t believe he is heading to college already.  I had him while I was in college so this has come full circle for me.  I’m so excited.

He is a great kid and I know he will do great things!!

Here is how I created this card:

1. I cute my card base to an A2 size card 5.50 by 4.25 scored at 5.5o.

2. I used My Favorite Things Die-namics Ride the Wave Die to cut the four waves out of Stampin’ Up! in colors cardstock.

3. I attached the two bottom waves first then I stamped my sentiment from My Favorite Things Wavy Greeting Stamp Set using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink.

4. Then I adhered the next two waves.

5. I added Your Next Stamp Crystal Clear Gumdrops in random places.

Super Smooth!!!

Nothing to it!! I hope you join us this week!!

a2z Scrapbooking June 2015 Challenge

Second post for the day

If your looking for So Suzy Stamps New Release, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here with a2z Scrapbooking today with our June Challenge!!!

Our new challenge is sure to please you this month!!  Our challenge this month is New Beginning!!  Use any Hero Arts product to create anything that fits your fancy.  This will be fun and interesting.  The possibilities are endless.

Check out the card I created for this challenge:

So, I’m taking the new Online Card Class Mask-erade and Shari Carroll taught us how to create a background using liquid masking.  I thought it was such a cute idea that I wanted to try it myself.

Here is how I created this card:

1. I cut my watercolor paper panel down to 3-3/4 x 5-1/2.

2. I stamped the Hero Arts Three Artistic Butterflies with Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink.

3. I covered each butterfly with Incredible White Mask and let it dry.

4. Then I stamped Tim Holtz Mesh & Linen with Hero Arts Soft Granite Ink right on top of the butterflies.

5. Then I used Hero Arts Bubble Confetti Stencil and Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade, Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed and added different ink spots to my card panel.

6. I let my card panel dry and then I used my fingers to remove the dried liquid mask.  In the process of removing the mask, my paper tore.

image1(4)

7. To fix that, I used a little bit of glue to attach the ripped piece back.

8. I attached my card panel to the front of Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue cardstock.

9.  I attached the card panel to the card base with tape.

10. I die cut Hero Arts Stamp and Cut Congrats out of black cardstock 3 times.

11. I stacked the die cuts on top of each other and adhered it to the card front.

12. I stamped another sentiment from that same stamp set underneath the die cut.

13. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the die cut for added interest.

I had a lot fun creating this card.  So what do you think?  Let me know below.

Amazing isn’t it!! I hope you love what you see and that it inspires you to join us this month. You have the entire month to create a new project and enter it into our challenge. By entering you will have a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. Winner will be announced on the 7th of May.  Good Luck!

Blog Hop Logo

Hello everyone!!   Welcome to Craft Stamper Magazines very first Take it, Make It blog hop!

If you have landed here from Jolande blog then you’re in the right place!

A list of all the blog hop links can be found HERE.

The January challenge is called ‘Take A Stamp’, and is really simple…just use a stamp somewhere in your art!

Take a look at the project I am sharing today (the pictures do not do it justice):

Congrats front

How cool is this little guy!! I had so much fun coloring this little pig from Simon Say Stamps Birthday Farm Animals.  Thanks Kay Miller for the inspiration for this card!!

Lets take a closer look at that balloon:

Congrats balloon

Look at that glossy balloon!!  It adds so much to the card.

Lets take a closer look at the die cut “Congrats” from Penny Black’s Creative Dies – Hooray.

Congrats closeup

This card was super easy to create.  I’m going to tell you how.

1. I cut my card base to an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50) scored at 4.25.

2. I used Distress Inks Evergreen Bough and Salty Ocean to blend the colors across the center of the card.

3. I stamped my party pig with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink because I was using Copic Markers to color in pig.

Copics used: Pig (R20, R22); Pig eyes (BG00); Pig Mouth ( W5, W7); Balloon (BG11, BG34); Party Hat (YG03, YG17, YG67)

4. I added glossy accents to the balloon.

5. I die cut the Congrats 3 times and stacked them on top of each other with  Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive to give the word some dimension, then adhered the word to the center of my card.

6. I added foam adhesive to the back of my pig and balloon and adhered it right above my die cut sentiment.

7. I attached my card panel with foam adhesive and that was it!!

Soooo, what do you think?  Now its your turn!!
