Top Dog Dies Pocket Letter Tutorial

Hello everyone!!  It’s Top Dog Dies Tutorial Day!!  I’m here today showcasing Top Dog Dies Flip Flop Die Set.

TDD Flip Flop

I love this die set.  Its super cute and it represents the summer for me.  I love wearing flip flops.  They slip on and off.  No hassle at all.

The one thing I don’t like about flip flops are, they are super slippery when they are wet!!  When I was 7 months pregnant with daughter, I slipped and fell in a store because the floor was wet and the slippers had no grip.

Crazy right!!  The baby and I were fine but that was super scary!!

Ok, I digress.  On to my project.  I created this pocket letter last week for the collaboration but I wanted to give you a tutorial on how I created it.

Take a look at my pocket letter:

Flip Flops (TDD)

Those flip flops are so cute.  I watercolored them! I need a pair of those.

Here is how I created it:

1. I took a piece of scrap paper and divided my paper evenly.  I added the dimension to my paper for future use.

IMG_3859

2. After I divided my paper, I put the scrap paper inside the We R Memory Keepers page projector. So that I could cut the plastic where it need to be open, only on one side.  Without the paper you will cut through the plastic.

IMG_3867

3. The fuse comes with two tips: the fuse tip and the cutting tip.  This tip cuts the plastic open.

IMG_3869

4. Here you can see that I cut the top and the bottom of my pocket.  I had to laugh.  Why didn’t I think of that.  I had a solution.

IMG_3873

5. I took the paper out of the page protector, taped it to my glass mate. If you do not remove the paper, the plastic can’t fuse together.

I then placed my page protector on top of the paper lining up the cut line with the lines on my paper.  I fused the plastic back, one quarter above the cut line on both sides.

IMG_3879

6.Once I finished prepping the page protector, I added my inserts in the pockets. I added sequin to this pocket and fused it closed.

IMG_3880

7.  I used an old piece of watercolor paper and die cut my flip flops from that.  I attached it Simple Stories Summer Vibes pattern paper.  I added a Tim Holtz word band.

IMG_3892

8. Here are some close up of the different pockets.

I just can’t get enough of this pocket page!  The flip flop die and the pattern paper just works so well.  I love it when things come together!!

I will surely make more of these very soon.

I’m entering my project into the Fairytale Challenge.

Its all about flip flops!! Perfect!

Top Dog Dies – Butterfly

Hello everyone!!! It’s Top Dog Die Wednesday!!  I’m here today showcasing Top Dog Dies Butterfly Die Set!!

TDD Butterfly

When I first saw this butterfly die set I knew I had to have it.  Its super intricate.  I love the detail!

A couple of days ago I was on Instagram, my favorite social media site, and came across Bianca better known as@thecoloursofmagic.  She posted a finish piece of different distress inks blended together.  I fell in love. I knew I had to give this a try.

Take a look at her color combo:

FullSizeRender (1)

Totally awesome right!! Thanks Bianca for sharing!! Check her out, she has some great coloring photos in her feed.

Now take a look at my card:

Butterfly 4 (TDD)

I love how you can see the multicolors behind the butterfly.  I added some Clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer.

Butterfly 3 (TDD)

Such a great card to give to a friend.  I stamped Mama Elephant Sunday Sentiments on the inside of the card.

Butterflyinside (TDD)

Look at how beautiful those colors look behind that butterfly!  Love it.

Butterfly (TDD)

Butterfly 2 (TDD)

This card was easy to create:

1. I partial die cut my butterfly out of the card panel.

2. I used an ink blending tool to blend Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Seedless Preserve on my card base.

3. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the blended colors.

Tip: be careful when using the wink of stella on distress ink.  Since the distress ink activates with water, the liquid will move the colors around.  So good across the colors not up and down.

4. I added the card panel to the card base using Tombow Xtreme Adhesive.

5. I stamped my sentiment from Mama Elephants Sunday Sentiments on the inside of my card using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink.

6. I used my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper to round the bottom corners.

7. I added Pretty Pink Posh 4mm and 6mm Sparkling Clear Sequins.

So what do you think?  I hope you like this card as much as I enjoy making it!

I used Top Dog Dies Flamingo Die Set and Simple Stories So Fancy Pattern Paper to create this cute thank you card.

I simple die cut my flamingos and water from the pattern paper and adhered them to the card front.  I used Papertrey Ink’s Swoosh Stamp Set.

I added the Simple Stories So Fancy Enamel Dots.

Easy Peasy!!

My Second card:

Hello Hippo (TDD)

Check out this hippo hello card!!

I love this die set!  I used Top Dog Dies Hippos Die Set and Simple Stories So Rad Pattern Paper to create my Hippo and his bird friend!

I simple die cut the hippo and the bird out of the pattern paper and adhered them to my card.

I used Top Dog Dies Hello Die Set to add my sentiment that was die cut out of the same pattern paper.

I added Simple Stories So Rad Enamel Dots for added interest.

Clean and Simple just the way I like it.

My third card:

Hello Hello Hippo (TDD)

Here is my second hippo card.  I couldn’t get enough of those hippos.

For this card, I used the Top Dog Dies Hippo die again.  I used Simple Stories Summer Vibes Pattern Paper and cover my card front with one of the papers in the pack.

I added my hippo up against the wording on the bottom of the paper.  I cut out the hello’s from another one of the pattern papers in the pack and adhered them to the card front.  The hippo looks like he is saying hello with the tilted head, LOL!!

I round one of the corners for added interest!

Hello everyone!! It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back with another Cue Card for you!!

This week’s cue card is super cute and sweet.  You will have fun with this cue card!

This week’s cue card:

Week 151 - Kids

I had so much fun creating cards for this challenge.  Yes, I couldn’t just make one, I made four!!

Take a look at my card:

Kids Card 3 (CAS)

Isn’t this card just the cute card you’ve seen today!!!  I created these cards for my daughter and nieces.  They always want to play with my stamp sets and inks.  So I decided to create these so they can color their own card and give it away.

You can also send this card to a well deserving recipient who can color their own card!  I would love to receive a couple of these.

Kids Card (CAS) 4

My nieces will have fun when they see these.

To create these were super easy:

1. I cut my base card to 3-3/4 by 10-2/16 scored at 5-1/16.

2. My card panel was cut using Mama Elephant Femme Frames.

3. I used my Misti to stamp So Suzy Stamps Bear With Honey multiply times with My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink.

4. I used Papertrey Ink Write Stuff Holders Die to cut a crayon holder twice on each card.

5. I pushed the crayon through the holes and that was that!!! What do you think?

CS Take It Make It: Take a Technique Inspiration Photo

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Technique Challenge Inspiration Photo!!!

This month’s theme is Take a Technique: Embossing!!This means using texture paste or embossing paste on your project or using a technique such as embossing, either embossing powder or embossing folders. Anything that gives your project a “touchy-feely” style!!

Take a look at my card:

You lift me up (TIMI)

I am so tickled about this card!  That little giraffe from Wplus9 Party Animal Stamp Set is the cutest little thing I’ve seen lately.

I original colored this image for Kathy’s 30 day coloring challenge this past Wednesday.

IMG_3462

IMG_3465

I colored this image while on the train to work.  Coloring everyday had made my commute to work that much easier!!

When I was done, I was happy about the giraffe, but not with the balloon.  I used my Derwent Intense Watercolor Pencils with a water brush.  I wasn’t happy with the water brush.  So, when I arrived home I used a small paint brush for a smoother effect.

Totally love how that turned out.

To create the rest of the card:

I embossed my card base with Stampin’ Up! Decorative Dots Textured Embossing Folder.

I fussy cut my giraffe and balloon and adhered the entire piece using 3M foam tape.

I used my Misti to stamp my sentiment that came from the stamp set with My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink.

Nice and easy!!

Now its your turn to play along with us.

We have a great prize pack for you.

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for June is:

Rubber Dance

Rubber Dance Store

Random Winners will win a voucher worth £20!

Winners amount

This winner will have their winning project published in Craft Stamper Magazine, they will have a GDT slot for an upcoming challenge, and will also feature in their very own Winners Profile blog post!

Now if that isn’t a reason to play along I’m not sure what is!!
