Hello everyone!! I’m here with a2z Scrapbooking today with our March Challenge!!  The theme is Color It In!!

Use any Hero Arts product to create a beautiful colored in piece.  This will be super fun and interesting.  We get to go back to the basic and color!!  There are so many possibilities and so many different mediums that you can use for this challenge.

Check out the cards I created for this challenge:

I decided to go with no-line watercoloring to color in my image.

Have a fabulous day 2

This card I created first and loved the butterfly but once I added the splatters  I wasn’t to sure about it!  I thought it was to much and it took away from my watercolor butterfly.

Have a fabulous day

So I created this card with less splatter but the edges of the butterfly didn’t look as good as the first one.

I’m posting both so you can decided which one looks better.  My daughter and sister loves the first one better. What do you think?

I love how Dawn from WPlus9 watercolors so I watch her do this no-line coloring and decided to give it a try and I have to say I really like it.  It does take time but eventually I got it, I hope, LOL.

To create this card was simple:

I used the new Hero Arts Butterfly Stamp and Cut to stamp my image in a very light link.  I used Distress Ink Antique Linen.

Then I added clean water to the inside of the butterfly so that my colors will move when I add them.

I used my new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor #50, #64 and #44 to produce the colors you see within the butterfly.

I used Versafine Onxy Black Ink and stamped the butterfly’s center body.  If you notice in the first image, I try to draw the antennas but that didn’t turn out to well. So I stamped right over it.

I used the same ink to stamp my sentiment from the same stamp set underneath my butterfly.

I added some of the different colors to my paintbrush and added splatters to my watercolor paper panel.

I trimmed that panel down and adhered it to my card base.

Easy Peasy!!

Now its your turn to give this Color It In theme a try!!

Amazing isn’t it!! I hope you love what you see and that it inspires you to join us this month. You have the entire month to create a new project and enter it into our challenge. Sending Love closeup

Here you go!

1. I cut my card base out of Hero Arts Snow Layering Paper to an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50), my embossed panel to 3.75 x 5.0 and my front panel to 4.0 x 5.25.

2. I taped my Hero Arts Basic Grey Triangle Pattern Stencil on top of my middle card panel.  I used Versamark ink and stamped directly on top of my stencil.

3. I added Wow- Cable Car Red embossing powder on top of my stamp image then heated it up. Then I set that panel aside to cool down.

4. I used the heart die from Hero Arts Stamp and Cuts Hearts set to cut 3 hearts out of my front card panel.

5. I stamped my sentiment on the front card panel using Hero Arts Sending Love Stamp.

6. I attached my embossed panel to the back of my front card panel.

Count Me In…

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today playing along with Lawnscaping Challenge 94: Count Me In!!

94

This challenge asked us to use numbers somewhere on our project!  Boy was I excited to see this challenge.  I have so many Lawn Fawn numbers stamp and dies that I’ve haven’t used yet.  I was excited to pull them out.

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve had so much fun creating tags and gift boxes.  So for this challenge I wanted to do the same.

I create two tags for this challenge.  The first one I created yesterday before I even knew about the challenge.  I wasn’t sure about this tag because I felt like something was missing in the top right hand corner.  So I put the tag down.  After seeing the challenge this morning I decided that I will add a number to the corner.

Happy Birthday tags

What do you think about this tag?

For my second tag, I wanted to use my die cuts to cut out the number and use he negative space.  I really love how this tag turned out as well.

Just A Little Word Of Encouragement

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with my first card for the a2z scrapbooking blog challenge as a design team member!!  I’m so excited to be here.

Today’s challenge theme is Encouragement!

This challenge will run from August 1 to August 31!  So you have an entire month to participate in this great challenge and a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate to shop at the a2z scrapbooking store.

So with no further a due, here is my card that I created for this challenge kick off:

Don't Worry

To create such a colorful background, I inked up Hero Arts Highline Ironwork Background Stamp with Hero Arts Butter Bar, Pale Tomato and Tide Pool shadow ink.

I rounded the corners using my corner chomper.

I loved the background so much that I didn’t want it to be overshadowed by to much stamping so I decided to stamp the flower from Hero Arts Love Jar Stamp set to the far right of the background panel in Hero Arts Black Ink for contrast.

I stamped the flower twice to give it some extension.

My sentiment is from Mama Elephant’s True Friend Stamp set.  I stamped that in Hero Arts Black Ink as well for contrast.

I added Hero Arts Diamond Gemstones to the center of my flowers for an added embellishment.

I really love how my first card turned out.  I hope you like it as well.

Please let me know what you think!

Please join us over at a2z scrapbooking blog for the challenge and a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2z scrapbooking store.

Guess What!!
