Decorated Mother’s Day Frame

Hello, everyone!!! I’m here today to show you a how I decorated a Mother’s Day frame for my mom.

Do you buy or create gifts to give to your Mom on Mother’s Day? I love creating gifts for my mother. She gets so tickled pink when she gets something that was created just for her.

This year is no different. My mother loves getting photos of all of her children in one picture. That rarely happens so when I went through my photos on my camera, I found one that she doesn’t have and would totally love.

 Let’s take a look:

I used Deflecto’s 8 x 10 Clear Frame for this gift! I went through my scrapbook stash to find the perfect embellishments to personalized the frame.  Once I found the perfect embellishments from Simple Stories Love Adore Kit, I went straight to work.

Here’s how I created it:

 1. Before entering the photo into the frame, I placed it down on my table mat that has lines.

2. Using the lines, I lined up the letters for the sentiment on the top and bottom of the frame.

3. Once all of the stickers are neatly placed on the frame, I added the photo to the frame.

My mother is going to love this picture frame. This photo was taken four years ago when my younger brother was graduating from high school. Next weekend he is graduating from college, so we get to take another group photo. Depending on how it looks, I might swoop this photo for that one, LOL!
So what do you think? Will you decorate your picture frames with stickers in this manner? I would love to hear from you.

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

week-216-frame

Take a look at my card:

hello-fall-cas

What a fun cue card!!  There are so many ways to interpret this cue card.  I wanted to take the word for what it was.

I used My Favorite Things Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window to dry emboss the frame on the front of the card using Spellbinders Embossing Mat with the Big Shot.

Then I stamped the pumpkin and sentiment from the new Right At Home Grateful Heart stamp set in the center of the frame using Clearsnap Colorbox Archival Wick ink.

After that, I watercolored the the pumpkin with Distress Ink Carved Pumpkin and Mowed Lawn.

I added a little bit of splatter for interest.

Lets take a closer look:

Nice and easy.

Hey everyone!! I’m up on the Clearsnap Blog today sharing how I decorated a photo frame with ink for the May Color Challenge.

Take a look at the Inspiration photo:

Clearsnap-MAY-2016-Color-Challenge

My project today is a super cool project.  I decorated a photo frame with ink and had a blast doing it. The best part about this photo frame is its a gift for my dad!

Now onto my photo frame:

Oh I love how this frame turned out!! The colors are fantastic!! The best part of this process is no drying time!! The ink dries almost immediately!

Here’s how this frame was created:

Cover your workstation up with a craft mat! I can’t stress that enough.

Then apply the ink directly to the frame using the ink pad itself.

With the second color, press the ink pad down onto the craft mat, leaving some ink residue behind.

Second color

With a craft paint brush pick up the ink and apply it to the edge.

NOTE: You have to move fast because this ink dries super fast.

Pick up ink

Once your done applying the color to the edges, add color to white cardstock to create a matching flower.

Create a flower using a die and the color cardstock.

Create a flower

Then you stamp whatever sentiment you want on the frame.  The frame is complete.

Take a look at it again:

I gave the frame to my dad and he loved it!!  Something to hold onto for a long time to come.  Now my brothers and sister know that I’m the favorite so they don’t mind not being included.  LOL!!!

So what do you think? Please let me know below.

Waffle Flower Craft – Photo Inspiration Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here with our new Waffle Flower Crafts Photo Inspiration Challenge!!!

This is our ninth challenge for 2015! I love this challenge, it really takes me out of my safe space when creating.

This weeks photo is so lovely!

Take a look:

Waffle Flower Photo Inspiration May 25

This photo inspired me to create a shaker card!

Take a look:

With Love (WFC)

I told you I love the new release dies and stamps!! I couldn’t help myself in using this die again.

I’m also obsessed with shaker cards now that I know how to make them with ease!!

Let’s look at how I created this card:

1. I die cut all of my frames using Waffle Flower Craft Doily Square Die.

With Love 1

2.  To start I added adhesive to the front panel base die cut layer. I’m doing this so that my frames will stay in place.

With Love 2

3. I added the second die cut base that will hold my actually frame in place.

With Love 3

4. I added my pink frame to the base.  I also added the Kraft inserts around the pink frame.  I added to much tape so I decided to add these pieces to over up the tape.

With Love 4

5.  Now its time to make the shaker part of my card!!  Yayy!  I love this part.

Ok, I took one of my memory keepers scrapbook sleeves and cut it in half.  I taped down my die with washi tape to keep it in place.

With Love 5

6. I meant to take a photo of my actually using the fuse but I forgot but you will see it below.

I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool to seal the edges.  Then I cut off the excess plastic. After tracing the edge of the die, your shaker pocket looks like this. Can you see what I did wrong here?  Yes, I sealed the entire thing before adding my sequin, LOL!  Ok, easy fix.  I just use my Kraft knife to open up a small portion.

I told you I love making these.  I get so excited.

With Love 6

7. After filling the pocket with Lucy Adams Phosphorescence Sequin, I used the fuse tool to seal the shaker pocket up. I just laid the die back on the pocket lining it up with the previous fuse.

With Love 7

8. Here is what the pocket looks like when its sealed and ready to add to your card.

What I notice what this pocket fit but it was to big.  I used the bigger die and didn’t need to.  I need to use the smaller die from that set.  So I started over.

With Love 8

9.  Ok, this die is much better.  The actually frame where the shaker will show is this size so there was no need for the bigger one.

So, I did the same thing I did above.

With Love 9

10. See here you can see me using the fuse to seal the sides of my shaker pocket.

With Love 10

11. Here you can see that I added the sequin and trimmed the edges down.  I’m sealing the opening so that my sequin doesn’t fall out.

With Love 11

12. Here is my finished pocket!  I left some of the edge so that I can adhere it to my card base.

With Love 12

13. I add tape to my card panel. So that my shaker pocket will stay in place.

With Love 13

14. I adhered the shaker pocket so that the fused line doesn’t show through the window of the card.

With Love 14

15. I added foam tape to the card panel that it will stick to the card base with some room for my sequin to shake.

With Love 15

16. I added the front panel to my card base. So how easy that was.  Super fun to create.

With Love 16

17.  To finish the card off, I die cut 4 Waffle Flower Craft With Love Word Die out of Simon Says Stamp Lemon Chiffon Yellow Cardstock.

With Love 17

18. I adhered them with Tombow Multipurpose Glue and adhered it to the front of my card.

That’s my card for this challenge.  I challenge you to make a shaker card. It’s super fun and pretty.

Do you see how I used the colors to create my card.  I love this color scheme.

So what do you think? Please let me know.

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Waffle Flower Photo Inspiration

These colors remind me of spring!!  Which I hope gets here soon.  I have to admit, this photo really gave me a run for my money.  I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do.

It took me two weeks and some new stamps to figure out what I want to do.

Take a look at my card:

Smile It Looks Good On You (WFC)

Once I received my new stamps and dies, I figured out what I wanted to do.

5.I used Waffle Flower Crafts Doily Circle Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment and hearts with the same Spring Blend Ink.

6. I attached my frame with foam adhesive.

7. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the hearts and smile.

4. I stamped my Monster Family on Neenah Solar White cardstock and then colored them using my Copic markers.  I’m not perfect but I getting better with them, LOL!!

In order from left to right:

small monster: Go2, G04

flowers: G04

5. I stamped the small star-like stamp and the sentiment stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
