CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge for the month of March.

This month’s theme is Take a Stamp!!  That means take any stamp and create something, anything goes!! Now if that isn’t easy, I’m not sure what is!!

Take a look at my card:

Watt's Up M2

The stamp set that I used is Your Next Stamp Perfect Chemistry.  I love this stamp set and knew it would be perfect for this challenge.  All of the images can be colored in.  They are all super cute too!

I pair this stamp up with their Your Next Stamp Stitching Marks Circle Die Set!!  Now I have to say that I totally, totally love this die set! This die set only leaves the stitching marks, it does not cut the circle!!

Then I add Your Next Stamp Black Gumdrop to embellish my card.

This card was super easy to create. Here’s how:

1. I cut my card base to an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50) scored at 4.25.

2. I used three of the dies, starting with the second biggest one, to add the stitching to my card front.

3. Then I stamped the image using Memento Black Ink.

4. I used my Copic markers, Y11, Y13, Y15, and R24 to color my image.

5. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the image.

6. I stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set.

7. I added the black gumdrops to finish off the cards.

8. At the last minute I added glossy accents to his eyes.

Clean and simple!!

I created another card using the same stamp set.  Take a look:

It's all about the Chemistry

For this card, I used Kraft cardstock.  I love how colors looks on Kraft cardstock.

To create this card was simple too.

1. I cut my cardstock to 3 x 6 scored at 3.

2. I stamped the word chemistry in Versamark ink to create my own background.

3. Then I stamped my image and colored it with Copic markers, R22, R24, R29.  I used the Your Next Stamp Perfect Chemistry Coordinating Die Set to cut out my image.

4. I stamped my sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink before adhering my die cut.

5. I adhered my die cut using foam adhesive.

6. I added Your Next Stamp Crystal Clear Gumdrops for more pop!!

Amazing, if can say so myself!!  Totally love this stamp set and all of the the embellishments.

What do you think? Please let me know.

You can stamp your to your hearts desire.  The challenge just calls for a stamped image.

Now let’s talk about the Sponsor and the prize pack!!

One-Layer Simplicity Challenge 14

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge 14.  This month the theme is Words, Words, Words!!

One Layer Simplicity Challenge

How amazing is that.  You can only use word stamps on your card.  No flowers, no background stamps, no image stamps of any kind.  Now, that is “simple” challenge!!

Take a look at my card:

Thinking of you repeated

I masked off my cardstock 1″ on all four sides.

I used Papertrey Ink Keep It Simple: Thinking Of You Stamp Set to stamp my sentiments in the center of my card using Papertrey Ink’s Summer Sunrise Ink, Tropical Teal Ink, Berry Sorbet Ink and Hawaiian Shores Ink.

I took my time and pealed the mask off and rounded the corners to finish off my card.

What do you think?  Let me know below!

Same but Different Challenge #6

Second Post

If your looking for the Top Dog Dies Baby Shower Invite post, click here

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with a new challenge that I’m participating in and its called the Same but Different Challenge #6!!

logo_same+but+differentFrancine from 1001 CARTES and Anja from Little Butterfly Creations are the co-owners of this challenge and I have to tell you they are super fabulous at card making.  Their use of color is totally amazing.  I love seeing their cards.  Such inspiration!!

I first discovered this challenge a couple of months back when they first started, but I couldn’t participate, because I didn’t have the stamp set that Francine and Anja used.  I have it now, LOL!!

So, I’ve been dying to give this challenge a try so I put forth the effort to get the butterfly die that they used.

Lets take a look at the die we are using for this challenge.  They are using the “Chrissy Butterfly” from Simon Says Stamp:

Photo_Blog_448b

When I looked on Simon Says Stamp website, I couldn’t find that die.  I reached out to Francine to let her know that I can’t find that die but that I did find a die that was very similar but it had a different name. I found the Paulina Butterfly Die.  Francine said that was fine, its the same die just a bit bigger.  Yayyy!!

Paulina butterly

Now take a look at my card:

Take your time to be happy

I love how my butterfly turned out.  I had a couple of watercolor pieces that I wasn’t sure what to do with and now look.  I found a use for it!!

So, let me make you laugh.  I thought this die partial die cut but it cut straight through.  So I had to improvise.  I just glued the center of the butterfly back in place so that it could appear as if it was partial die cut.  Nice right!!

My sentiment is from Create a Smile Botanical Love stamp set.

Lets take a closer look at my card:

Take your time to be happy 2

I love how clean cut the butterfly looks.

Take your time to be happy 3

This sentiment is so fitting for this card.  It matches the butterfly and the watercolor colors!

Take your time to be happy 4I love how this turned out!  What do you think? Let me know below. I would love to hear from you.

I’m also entering this card into the Less is More Challenge: Week 213 – This makes me happy!

Top Dog Die – Baby Shower Invite

Hello everyone!!  It’s Top Dog Die Wednesday!!  I’m here with a die that was totally a lifesaver for me.

My nieces mom called me a couple of weeks ago and wanted to know if I could make 100 baby shower invitations for her coworker’s daughters.

I said absolutely!!  They wanted a onesie with the colors hot pink and leopard. My first thought was to just create a digital invite but as I created the invite, I wasn’t impressed.

So, I decided to make the card out of an actually onesie.  I knew I didn’t have any die that would make my job easier.  I thought about cutting out the invite, but when the number 100 started swirling, I decided against that.

So I went on a search for a onesie die!! Just my luck, Top Dog Die had actually what I wanted.  Check out these die:

TDD Onesis card TDD onesie die 2TDD Onesie Card Finishers

Take a look at my invite:

I loved how this invite turn out.  Nice and elegant.

When I first started, I messed up about 10 sheets of paper that ended up in the trash.  I tried pattern paper and I wasn’t getting the look I wanted. So I searched high and low for pattern paper that fits with what the customer wanted.

Yayyy, I found the paper in two different Micheal’s store. I bought 50 sheets of this paper.

This is how I created theses invites:

1. I used the die to die cut the onesie out of this leopard paper.

2. I added a white bow to the outside.

3. I typed the invite information and then die cut that out with the finisher die set.

4. I boxed them up and tied a pretty bow on the box.

Nice and easy!!

So what do you think?

The supplies are hard to list since I’m not sure what the paper is called.  The pattern paper and ribbon is from Micheal’s.

You could us any paper you would like and design the card in tons of different ways!

The box is Stampin’ Up! Extra Large Gift Boxes and the ribbon is a retired Stampin Up product.

CASology 136 – Basket and Giveaway!

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back again with another Cue Card for you!!

So this cue word seems easy, right?  Well not so easy.  I had nothing, nothing in my stash that screamed “Basket”.  I search all of my retired stamps and my new stamps that haven’t been touch yet and I couldn’t find anything with a basket.

Then I remember, the light bulb went off, I received some new stamps for an upcoming release from So Suzy Stamps and guess what stamp was in that package.  Yes, a basket of apples!!  I was super excited.  I’m still in the race with my fellow DT members!!

Take a look at my card:

You're A Good Apple2

Yes, this basket of apples saved the day for me.  To create this card was super easy minus the coloring.

1. I cut my card base to an A2 size card (4.25 x. 5.50). I cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather Patten Paper and adhered it to the front of my card base.

2. I used My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX die to cut out a piece of white cardstock.

3. I stamped my image and colored it in with Copic Markers; W4, Y13, Y15, Y19, E31, E33, E35, E37, R22 R24 and N5.

4. I stamped my sentiment from Lawn Fawn Good Teacher stamp set.

5. I adhered the white panel to the front of my card base with foam adhesive.

6. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to my apples and belly ban on my basket.

That was it!  Nice and easy thanks to So Suzy Stamps!!  So since her basket of apples saved the day for me.

a2z Scrapbooking March Color It In Challenge

Third Post for today!

If your looking for the So Suzy Stamps Release, click here

If your looking for the So Suzy Stamps March Challenge post , click here

Hello everyone!! I’m here with a2z Scrapbooking today with our March Challenge!!  The theme is Color It In!!

Use any Hero Arts product to create a beautiful colored in piece.  This will be super fun and interesting.  We get to go back to the basic and color!!  There are so many possibilities and so many different mediums that you can use for this challenge.

Check out the cards I created for this challenge:

I decided to go with no-line watercoloring to color in my image.

Have a fabulous day 2

This card I created first and loved the butterfly but once I added the splatters  I wasn’t to sure about it!  I thought it was to much and it took away from my watercolor butterfly.

Have a fabulous day

So I created this card with less splatter but the edges of the butterfly didn’t look as good as the first one.

I’m posting both so you can decided which one looks better.  My daughter and sister loves the first one better. What do you think?

I love how Dawn from WPlus9 watercolors so I watch her do this no-line coloring and decided to give it a try and I have to say I really like it.  It does take time but eventually I got it, I hope, LOL.

To create this card was simple:

I used the new Hero Arts Butterfly Stamp and Cut to stamp my image in a very light link.  I used Distress Ink Antique Linen.

Then I added clean water to the inside of the butterfly so that my colors will move when I add them.

I used my new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor #50, #64 and #44 to produce the colors you see within the butterfly.

I used Versafine Onxy Black Ink and stamped the butterfly’s center body.  If you notice in the first image, I try to draw the antennas but that didn’t turn out to well. So I stamped right over it.

I used the same ink to stamp my sentiment from the same stamp set underneath my butterfly.

I added some of the different colors to my paintbrush and added splatters to my watercolor paper panel.

I trimmed that panel down and adhered it to my card base.

Easy Peasy!!

Now its your turn to give this Color It In theme a try!!

Amazing isn’t it!! I hope you love what you see and that it inspires you to join us this month. You have the entire month to create a new project and enter it into our challenge. By entering you will have a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. Winner will be announced on the 7th of April. Good Luck!

Check out the card I created for this challenge:

Sending you an Instant Hug

This is just the beginning!!  The rest of the Design Team created some amazing projects featuring some of the new stamps.  To see those click here.

To create this card:

I stamped my So Suzy Stamps Daisy Doodle image using Versamark ink, added white embossing powder and heat embossed it.

I then used my new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors to add the different shades of spring colors on top of  it. Since the embossed image is ink resist, the color will not cover the image.

I stamped my So Suzy Stamps sentiment and added some ink splatters using the same colors on the flowers.

I added some Your Next Stamps black gumdrops as a perfect embellishment.

I adhered my watercolor paper to my yellow card base and I was done!!

Easy Peasy! Now its your turn to join us for this amazing Watercolor Challenge!!
