CASology 167 – Silly

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 167 - Silly

Take a look at my card:

Poof (CAS)

Ok, did I tell you how much I love these Tim Holtz Crazy Birds??  The funny thing is I think the name really is Bird Crazy.  It just sounds better the other way, LOL!!

I love these birds for a number of reasons:

1. They are silly looking
2. They are fun to color.
3. They just plain out make me happy!!

Now tell me this bird doesn’t look super silly.  The sentiment really looks like he said it!!  Oh man, I should have dressed him up!! LOL! Next time.

On to how I created this card:

  1. I stamped the bird on Canson Watercolor Paper using Ranger Archival Black Ink since I was going to watercolor.
  2. Then I used Derwart Inktense Pencils to color the bird in. I used Fuchsia 0700, Sun Yellow 0200 and Teal Green 1300.
  3. Then I stamp the sentiment from Tim Holtz Crazy Thoughts and Crazy Talk Stamp Set.
  4. I colored the sentiment in using the same color pencils I used for the bird.
  5. I rounded the bottom right corner.

Super easy and fun.

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

CASology 166 – Science

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 166 - Science

Take a look at my card:

Your made of (CAS)

I went really simple with this cue card this week.  When I saw the cue card word, my mind went straight to Your Next Stamp Perfect Chemistry Stamp Set.

This card doesn’t represent science, I’m not sure what would.  LOL!!! Do you remember that periodic table in school.  I do, LOL! I was a science major.

For this card, the sentiment and squares are part of one stamp so I only stamped once and colored the squares in with Copic marker: YR27 and C1.

I rounded the top corners of the card stock, then I was done.

Super, Super, Super Simple and easy!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

CASology 165 – Circles

Second Post for today
If your looking for the Your Next Stamp Feature Day post, click here.

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 165 - Circles

Take a look at my card:

I Miss You (CAS)

Check out all of those circles!!  I thought this die was so fitting for this weeks cue card.  All of those circles are attached yet they have their own individuality.

Now that stamp set that I used is amazing.  If you follow me on Instagram, I talked briefly about a new company called Concord & 9th.  I love their stamps sets, dies, and tintables.  I will showcase this company this coming Thursday so stay tune to learn more about them.

I’m starting with this stamp set called Map Love!  I love all of the images in this set and on Thursday you will see other creations I’ve made with this set.

To create this card:

I die cut Simon Says Stamp Ring Frame Circle Die out of Bazzill cardstock.

I used Tombow Multipurpose Glue to adhere the die cut to my card base.

I used Concord & 9th Map Love and stamped my sentiment and geotag within the different circles using My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink.

I added one Stampin Up! rhinestone to the sentiment.

For the finishing touch, I add Clear Wink of Stella to the You and the geotags.

Super Simple and easy!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 164 - Umbrella

Take a look at my cards:

Love Ya 1(CAS)

My cards has no stamping this time around, only die cutting!!  I love how they turned out.

All I did was die cut the umbrella from Simon Says Stamp Addy’s Spring Showers Die Set out of My Favorite Things Homespun Gingham Paper Pack.

I die cut the card panel using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square Dies in two largest sizes.

Then I used these foam die cut the my good friend Maggie sent to me on Friday. Thanks again Maggie.  I truly appreciate it.  You can find Maggie on Instagram!!  Her handle is @maggieb1983. Check her out.

IMG_5148

Maggie told me the The Love Ya Die is from CAS-ual Friday Stamps and it won’t be available until next year for everyone who doesn’t get the Stamp of Approval kits. I have to keep that in mind.

Once everything was die cut, I adhered everything using a Tombow Multipurpose Glue Adhesive.

I placed some fun foam behind my card panel to give it an even lift. Then I adhered the card panel to the card base.

Nice and easy.  I couldn’t make one but two because it was so easy!!

Here they are individually:

CASology 163: Moon

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 163 - Moon

Take a look at my card:

Brighter because of you (CAS)

I have to be very honest with all of you.  I had no clue what I was going to do with this cue card becasue I do not have any stamp sets with a moon.  I really struggled with this cue.  Then I remembered I had a paper pack with a moon in it and then the light bulb went off.  LOL!!!!

All I did was die cut the moon out of the paper and adhered it to my card front and stamped my sentiment from Mama Elephant Bling Stamp Set with My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

CASology 162 – Write

Second post for today
If your looking for the a2z Scrapbooking blog post, click here

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

I have to say I really love this week’s cue card.  I love to write but handwriting is the worst!!  LOL!!  I wish I took penmanship classes more seriously when I was in grade school.

I just hated writing, “The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog“. Do you remember writing that over and over and over again.  I never understood why we had to write that.  The reason is, that sentence contains every letter in the alphabet!!  Writing it, allowed us to write every letter!!!

We had a entire penmanship book.  The pages were similar to this but with more space to write:

Handwriting

If I knew what I know now, right, LOL!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 162 - Write

Take a look at my card:

Pratice Makes Perfect (CAS)

Here is how I created this card:

  1. I used Papertrey Ink’s Pencil Me In Patterned Paper to create my card front.
  2. After that I used Papertrey Ink’s Pencil Me In Die to cut out my pencil.  I adhered all of the pieces together using Plus Glue Tape Runner.
  3. Then I used Papertrey Ink’s Lunchbox Notes Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink on the card front and pencil.
  4. I used a black pen and scribbled in the line below the pencil.

Super fun and simple!!

Here are some closer looks:

CASology 161: Plaid

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 161 - Plaid

Take a look at my card:

Thanks Plaid (CAS)

Now that plaid section on my card came from this panel I create weeks ago in the Background Check Online Card Class.

Plaid content

I never go to use the piece so I thought it was fitting now.

Plaid background

So I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle die to cut a circle piece and adhered it to my card panel.

Then I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Thanks twice and adhered it to the center of die cut circle.

Super doper easy!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

CASology 160 – Number

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 160 - Number

Take a look at my card:

Numbers Birthday (CAS)

Can you believe I still have pieces of watercolor paper that I created weeks ago?  I do.  I love it.  It makes my card making process so much easier!!

Here is how I created this card:

I used the Penny Black By The Number Die and die cut the numbers out of per-created watercolor paper, seen below.

Watercolor pieces

I adhered the die cut numbers to my black card base with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I used Your Next Stamp Birthday Stamp Set to stamp my sentiment on vellum.  While the sentiment was still wet, I added Stampin’ Up! Clear Embossing Powder. I heat set it and it gave the sentiment a glossy look.

I flagged the vellum and adhered it to the numbers with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I used the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper to rounded the top corners.

Easy Peasy!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

CASology 159 – Aquatic

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is all about water and anything pertaining to water!!

Week 159 - Aquatic

Take a look at my card:

Sail away with me (CAS)

Here is how I created this card:

This is a simple one layer card.  I stamped the waves three times, slight on top of each other. Then I stamped the boat right on top of the waves.  I used Copic marker R27 to color in the bottom portion of my boat.

I stamped the main sentiment first then the smaller sentiment last.

That was it!!  A nice card to reproduce!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

CASology 158 – Precious

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is super simple!!

Week 158 - Precious

Take a look at my card:

Hello (CAS)

When I thought of the word “precious” I thought of cute and cuddly.  I went straight for WPlus9 Bubble Talk.  I’ve had this set since its release but have never used it!  So why not use it today!

Creating this card was easy.  Here’s how:

I used My Favorite Things Blueprints 14 to cut two pieces of cardstock to form my card base.  I scored the back piece of cardstock a half and inch from the top to create a crease for the card to open. I adhered the two pieces of cardstock with adhesive.

I stamped the elephant and balloon with My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink.  I colored both with Copic markers: R29, C3, C5, O.  I used the ) Copic to create the texture on my baby elephant.  After coloring the balloon, I stamped the sentiment and the small hearts with the same ink.

Super doper easy.

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
