Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

week-217-cute

Take a look at my card:

you-rock-cas

Our sponsor this week has the cuties digital images in her store.  I’m using the Heart Strings Raccoon and the Panda Cutie Digital Stamp on my cards.

To spice up my card, I used Penny Black Well Done dies to add a sentiment to the cards.  Then I used Copic Marker R46 to add red to the hearts and nose.

Adding a pop of color keeps my cards super clean and simple.

I couldn’t create just one card:

well-done-cas

Nice and easy.

Huh..Black Butterfly?

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday #170: Masking with Die Cuts.

How cool is this effect! What you have to do is cut masks out of dies that have matching stamps. You create an easy one-layer card that will be striking.

Have you ever seen a black butterfly?  They are just as pretty as the colorful ones.

So for those of you who know me, knows that I’m going to draw for my beautiful butterfly stamp and die set.  I have to say this is my favorite set.  It works with everything.

Take a look at my card:

Happy Butterfly

Here are the steps to creating this beautiful one layer card.

1. I cut my butterfly out using my Papertrey Ink’s Life is Beautiful die and some Inkadinkado masking paper.

2. I place the masked butterfly down on my cardstock where I wanted it to be.

3. I sponged Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight, Mellon Mambo, and Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin’ Pad with sponge daubers.

4. I removed the masking to reveal the colorless butterfly surrounded by the beautiful background.

5. I stamp the butterfly detail in Versafine Onyx Black Ink using Papertrey Ink’s Life is Beautiful stamp set.

6. Then I stamped the sentiment using Papertrey Ink’s Wet Paint stamp set using the Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

I decided to use the black ink for my butterfly and sentiment so that they will really pop out of the colorful background.

Cherry Berry FLOAT..

Hello everyone!  I’m here today playing along with CASology Week 102: Float!!!

Week 102 - Float

I have to admit when I saw this cue card, I wanted to do a hot air balloon or just regular balloons.  I thought that would be easy.

Then I said to myself, why not be different.  Why not be unpredictable.  So, I went through all of my stamps to see what would float?  What could give the feeling of floating?

Guess what!  I found something.  Yes, yes, yes! What could we all use on a nice summer day to cool us down?

Yes, yes, yes!!  A float!  Not just any float or the most common one, A CHERRY BERRY FLOAT with two straws!

How cute is this!!!  Did you see the sparkle on my ice cream!!!  I was going to add some other embellishments but decided against it since this is a clean and simple card challenge and white space matters, lol.

The Copic colors I used were R29, BG49

So0000, tell me what you think.  Really, let me know.  What is a good idea or what!

Smiling Is So Contagious

Have you ever smiled till it hurts?

Smiling

Well I’ve been smiling since Saturday.

I received some good news yesterday from CAS(E) this sketch!  My Seeing Stars card was chosen as one of their favorite cards!!!!!  You can check out the announcement here. I was so excited.  Thank you ladies for that distinction.

I’m here again with another CAS(E) this sketch! #78.  Julie Day created the sketch for this challenge.

This was a fun sketch to work with.  Since I was so happy, I wanted to stick with happy colors for this sketch.

Take a look:

Smile someone love you

I used the zig zap stamp form Life is a Journey Simon Says Stamp to create the zig zap pattern in the three different colors.

I had to use Papertrey Ink’s Wet Paint 3 Smile sentiment because I can’t stop smiling.

To give balance to the card I added some sequins and rhinestones in the colors of the ink.

Simply but classy one layer card! What do you think?

You’re Pretty Amazing

I’m back again with another stencil card for Virginia’s View Challenge #2. I’m having so much fun stenciling that I couldn’t help myself so I made another card.  For this card, I used three different inks and my Kelly Purkey Teardrop stencil.  It took no time, as a matter of fact I made two cards with two different sentiments but the one I’m posting today, the sentiment was a better fit.

This one layer card is sooooo “fiery”.  I just love it.

Clean & Simple 3 Card Class – Day 7 Creative Coloring Part 2

For the past couple of days, I’ve been so busy, that I haven’t been able to post a thing.   My online card class ended this past Friday and I have not posted my homework for 4 days.  I have so much to share.  So let me get right to it.

Today’s card is another card from day 7.  I love the creative coloring class so much, that I had to make another card using that technique, wait, another 2 cards!

This class taught us how to make clean and simple one layer cards.  When I started to create today’s card I was so excited that I didn’t realize it wasn’t a one layer card.  As a matter of fact, the card didn’t even have space for someone to write in it.  I thought to myself why, didn’t I realize that in the beginning.  I was busy creating that I totally missed it.

Take a look:

Birthday with heart

When you open this card the sentiment is left on the inside of the card.  The card looks nice but it isn’t functional.  The hearts where colored with the same Copic colors. So, I decided to make the card all over again.  The second card is a one layer card that is very functional.

Take a look:

Birthday with flower

What do you think? I like both cards but in terms of the clean and simple one layer, the second card is the winner.  Take a look at both of the cards together.  The flowers were colored and cut using the same Copic colors.
