Exciting right!!  It sure is for me!!

The DT Dare Challenge this month is Paint the town red!!  The design team was asked to create a project using one of the new stamp sets from the February release.  I went with a new die for my project.

Take a look at my project:

Heart Gift bags (YNS)

To create this little gift bags, I die cut once for each bag.  The beauty of this die is you only need one piece of paper.

I die cut a piece of retired Stampin’ Up! DSP, folded the score lines added some Tombow Extreme Adhesive and assembly the bag.

I cut a piece of Tombow Fastener Tabs to create a closure for the bag.

I added the small white heart to the cover of the bag to finish it off.

I thought about stamping a sentiment but changed my mind.  They look nice just as they are.

What do you think?  Please let me know below.

Super simple and easy.

So tell me what you think of this challenge? I would love to know, let me know below!

I just love these little tags.  They are perfect for any Spring/Easter gift.

Here’s how I created them:

Tag 2 (RAH)

  • To create the shaker pocket, I used the fuse tool and the tag die to make sure the pocket fits neatly behind the outside die. For a full tutorial on how to do that please click here.
  • Once the pocket is ready, I added the clear Lily Flower Sequins and sealed it up.
  • All of the pieces were adhered together using 3M Foam tape.

tag (RAH)

  • The bunny and eggs were placed on the front of the bigger tag.
  • White twine was added to the top of the tag to finish it off.

So tell me what you think? I can’t wait to hear what you think of these tiny tags!

Feb2016hopbadge

Hello everyone!!  Yayyy, I love this blog hop featuring new products from Your Next Stamps makes squeal!! LOL!!

This release is super cute!!  Yesterday’s sneak peek was fun.

If you’ve been hopping along, you would have arrived from Kendra‘s blog and if you’d like to start from the beginning, you can click on over to the linky at the bottom of this post and start at Tracy’s blog.

My favorite set from this release is the Celebrate Sweetness stamp set! I showcased that card yesterday during the sneak peek.  If you didn’t see it here it is.

Are you ready for my big reveal?  For this first set, I made two cards to inspire you!

Take a look at my card:

Your the cream (YNS)

Coffee is the boss (YNS)

YNS Supplies: Coffee is the Boss

Other Supplies: Copic Marker, Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencil, Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock, My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink

Creating this cards was super simple.  I used my Mini Misti and laid all of the stamps on the front of the card and stamped at one time. Super simple and super easy.  Then I just took a Copic marker and a Polychromous pencil and colored the images in.  I added the rhinestones and Clear Wink of Stella to finish the card off.

Note: For the second card, I masked off the mug to stamp the coffee ring under the mug.

My third card:

Have a sweet day (YNS)

YNS Supplies: Sprinkles Sugar Rush, Black Gumdrops, Crystal Clear Gumdrops

Other Supplies: Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock, Copic Markers, Recollection White Cardstock, Mama Elephant Femme Frames, My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink, 3M Foam Adhesive

This card was also easy to create.  I used Mama Elephant Femme Frames to die cut the rectangular card panel out of the white cardstock.  Then I stamped the sentiment and lollipops using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink because I colored the images with Copic Markers.  After that I added the black gumdrop to the bottom of the lollipop stick.  To adhered the card panel to the card base, I used 3M Foam adhesive.  To finish the card off, I added two clear gumdrops on opposite sides of the white card panel.

So what do you think?  I had so much fun creating these cards to inspire all of you and show you the versatility of the stamp sets! Which one of these items are favorite?  I would love to hear from you!

Be sure not to miss any blog along the way, because one lucky commenter will have a chance to win a $25 YNS gift certificate. Winner will be announced on the YNS blog on February 10th.  So don’t forget to leave a comment on each of the blogs participating in the blog hop.

CS Take It Make It: Take a Technique

Hello everyone!! I’m here with CS Take It Make It: Take a Technique Challenge Inspiration for February.

Our theme is Take a Technique: Text Me!!

For this month’s challenge the technique we would like you to use text or script background stamps, or text paper in your projects. Any language, any style. Old book pages, bits torn from magazines, scrapbooking papers.. whatever you can find! … The ‘text’ part does NOT include sentiments, phrase or single word stamps…. think backgrounds!!

This should be super fun to see what you come up with.

Take a look at my card:

Hello (TIMI)

I am in love with this card!  I love how stamped image looks on top of the text paper.  Beautiful.  I have to try this technique again.

Here is how I created this card:

  1. I cut my card base out of Recollection Black Cardstock.
  2. Then I cut retired Stampin’ Up! DSP to the size of the card base.
  3. After that I stamped Winnie and Walter The Big, the Bold and the Happy hello sentiment using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink.
  4. Then I used the huge flower from Simon Say Stamp/Winnie and Walter Big Bloom Stamp set.
  5. I used one Copic R46 marker to color the flower in.
  6. To add color to the DSP, I used Distress Ink Vintage Photo to add color to the edges of the card.
  7. To finish the card off, I added Your Next Stamp Black Gumdrops.

So what do you think? I’m in love, are you?

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for February: A Sprinkle Of Imagination
