Sometime this week I received Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters Stamp set and decided that I would use that stamp set to create a new card.   I was waiting for my new Copic markers to come in the mail so that I can practice my coloring.

So without further a due here is my card:

Hello….

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with CAS(E) this sketch #91!  The sketch artist is N@Ali and her sketch is right up my alley, Clean and Simple!

Take a look at her sketch:

CTS_91

I’m also here with Paper Smooches Sparks: Anything Goes.

Anything Goes PSS FINAL

When I saw this sketch, I wanted to add a butterfly to my card because I love butterflies and they look so pretty on simple cards.

I decided against it because earlier this week I said I was going to start using things in my craft corner that I hardly or never use, so that is what I did.

Take a look at my card:

HelloFlower

This card was pretty easy to create.  I love these colors, they are so pretty.

Here is how I created this card:

1. I cut my Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Bliss cardstock to a A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50)

2. I cut a 1′ stripe of Stampin’ Up! Moonlight DSP and flagged the end.  I adhered it to my card front using Fuse Fast Adhesive.

3. I cut out two flowers using Stampin’ Up! Blossom Punch out of Stampin’ Up! Hello Honey cardstock and Moonlight DSP.  I adhered the flowers on top of one another catty-corner so you could see both of them using the Fuse Fast Adhesive.

4.  I also cut out 4 “hello’s” using Technique Tuesdays Say It-Hello die out of Stampin’ Up! Hello Honey cardstock.  I adhered to my card base using the Fuse Fast Adhesive.

5.  Something was missing so I added Stampin’ Up! Vintage Faceted Button to the center of the flower.

6. I then added a retired Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone to the center of that button for added interest.  I used the Hello Honey marker to color the rhinestone. I rounded the corners.

7. My daughter said my card wasn’t complete without some Clear Wink of Stella on the word hello.  So I added that, lol.

So what do you think?  Please let me know down below.

Stamping Onto Tissue Paper

Hello everyone!!  I’m here for the first time with CS Take It Make It Design Team Challenge!!!

I’m so excited because I’ve had to really stretch my style for this challenge.  This month’s theme is Stamping Onto Tissue Paper!!!  Yes, you heard me correctly.  Tissue paper!!

White Tissue PaperPhoto credit

Now, don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t easy at first.  I ripped my tissue paper a couple of times because I didn’t take my time.  After the first two tries I said, “slow down Kymona”.  Once I slowed down, I got it.

Take a look at my card:

Happy Birthday on Tissue PaperAre you wondering how I did this?  I’m going to tell you!!!

1. I stamped my sentiment from Mama Elephant Make A Wish Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

You want to use a permanent ink so that the image doesn’t bleed or blur.

2. I used Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue ink and a blending tool to add color to my Neenah Solar White card base.

3.  I stamped my stars from Mama Elephant Make A Wish Stamp Set with the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and the hearts from Simon Says Stamp Hey Teacher Stamp Set in Audrey Blue.

4. I then adhered my stamped image tissue image to the front of my card base using  a little bit of  Mod Podge.

5. After I adhered my image to the card base, I added Mod Podge to my entire card front.  Smoothing out as many wringles as I could.

6. Once the the glue dries, the tissue should become transparent.

Important to remember: Some methods of coloring backgrounds are NOT compatible with this techniue!  Spray Inks for example doesn’t not like having water-based glue on top of it.  So using spray inks might not be a good choice to use.

You have to experiment with the technique and your own particular style to fine what works for you and what materials you have at home.

I had a lot of fun playing around with tissue paper on my card.  I think I will try this card again but this time ink the edges of the tissue paper with the ink and see how well it fades with the glue.  I will repost as soon as I try it.

Now its your turn to give Stamping Onto Tissue Paper a try!!

This challenge runs from today Friday, September 5th to Midnight Wednesday, September 24th, 2014.

The winner will be announce on the CS Take It Make It Blog on September 26th, 2014.

Grapes Are Good..

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

I’m also submitting this card to Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge: Anything Goes.

SPARKS BADGE

The theme is fruit so I choose to go with grapes!!  Kate C from Kate’s Creative Corner used grapes and they looked so lovely, I had to give it a try.

Take a look at my card:

Just a Note (grapes)

Like I said yesterday in my first post, I want to use some of my craft products that I haven’t used at all.

The first product was the grapes digital image from Paper Smooches. Thank you Judy from Judy’s Card Corner for reminding me.  I couldn’t remember for the life of me.

The second new product is Stampin’ Up! Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities.  I bought these awhile ago and haven’t used them so today was the day.

Grapes colored

I have to say they were easy to use.  I am a Copic girl so it was interesting to use these markers.  They are pretty much the same in terms of blending.

The one thing I notice from the beginning was the caps were hard to get off and even harder to put back on.  They took up a lot of time.  I was afraid the paper would dry so I had to leave the caps off so that I could hurry and blend.

grape skittles closeupMy third new product are my new Pink Sherbert Skittles.  Don’t you just love these little embellishments.  They round the card out.  I adhered these with glossy accents.

For those of you who are wondering about my new skittles embellishments, the owner Carri, has put together a video to answer any question you might have regarding their size, color, and how to adhere them to your projects.  Please click here for that video.

Grapes Close-up

I used my Clear Wink of Stella to add glitter to my grapes and the leaves.  I love how this turned out.

My sentiment is from my Papertrey Ink Fancy That stamp set which I used yesterday for the first time.  I love this stamp set.  The sentiments are fantastic.  I’m glad I decided to finally use it.

So what do you think?  Come on over to DoubleClick Skittles Challenge for a chance to win a fantastic prize and an opportunity to play with your own skittles.  You will love them.

L-E-T-T-E-R…….

Second Post for today!!

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with CASology Week 110 and their Cue Card word is LETTER.

Week 110 - Letter

I have to say when I sat down to create I had to think really hard on what I wanted to create.  All of the ideas that came to mind someone already bet me to the punch.

I felt stuck.  So, I took out a stamp set I’ve never used and one piece of color card stock and decided that I had to come up with something using these two items.

I choose Papertrey Ink Wet Paint Alphabet and Stampin’ Up! Basic Black cardstock.

I ponder over what in the world I make that represented a letter.  I thought about having all of the letter be my background but the word is singular so that wouldn’t work.

Then a light bulb went off and I came up with this:

Letter

I decided to spell out the word L-E-T-T-E-R and emboss it with Stampin’ Up! Tempting Turquoise Embossing Powder (which happens to be on sale for next to nothing, let me know if you need it).

I added a Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone and my card is done.

Nothing much to it but I like it.

What do you think?  Let me know below.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with CAS(E) this sketch #90!  Today’s sketch was created by Chrissy Larson.

I’m also here with Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.

wed-newchallenge-headerI’ve noticed recently that I’ve ordered stamp sets and do not use them.  So, I decided that I will start creating cards with stamps sets that I’ve never used.

So, today’s card was created with Papertrey Ink’s Fancy That stamp set.  I also wanted to use some cardstock that I haven’t used in a while.  So I decided on Stampin’ Up! new in color Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon cardstock.

These two colors together really look so nice together.

Take a look at my card:

Thanks

Take a look at my rhinestones.  I colored them with the same colors that’s in the medallion.

Close up of the medallion

The colors in the medallion are Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey all from Stampin’ Up’s new in colors markers.

I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Thanks die from Lost Lagoon card stock 4 times for dimension.

I cut white cardstock using Avery Elle’s Custom Panels Die to get that odd shape.

Fruits, Fruits and more Fruits!!

Hello everyone!!  I’m back again for the third DoubleClick Challenge!  The theme is, you guessed it, its fruit!!

The summer time is full of delicious fruits from all over the world.

Let me tell you what surprised me the other day.  My friend who lives off of one of the busiest streets in Queens, has a neighbor who has a pear tree in the front of their house.  I was blown away.  I never saw a fruit tree in city, upstate yes, but not down in the city.  Can you eat the fruits?  Are they sweet?  I wanted to know but was too scared to ask for one.  So what I did was take a picture of the tree as proof that it exist.

Take a look for your self:

Pear Tree

How beautiful is that tree full of fruit!!  Makes you want one.  Ok, ok I digress!  On to the challenge.  Its all about fruit!

I choose to go with tangerines!  They are so delicious and you can peel it by yourself.  The sweeter the better for me.

Take a look at my card:

Hello Tangerine

These tiny tangerine halves look so good, you almost want to eat them all.  Let’s talk about how I create this nice CAS card.

1. My Stampin’ UP! Tangerine Tango  card base is an A2 card which measures 4.25 x 5.50 scored at 5.50.

2. My Neenah Solor White card panel measures 4 x 5.25. I rounded the corners with a retired Stampin’ Up! punch.

3. I used Stamp’ Up! retire Tart and Tangy Stamp Set to stamp my tangerines 3 times out of Tangerine Tango ink.

4. I used Stampin’ Up! 1-1/4″ Circle Punch to punch out my tangerines.

5. I adhered the tangerines to the card panel with Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals.

6. I used Stampin’ Up! Hi There Stamp Set to stamp the Hello at the bottom of my card base with Versafine black ink.

7. I adhered the card panel to the card base using Stampin’ UP! Dimensionals.

7. I added Wink of Stella to the tangerine petals for added glare.

8. For my finishing touch, I added my PUMPKIN SKITTLES to the center of my tangerines and after my hello.

Clean and Simple at its best.

So tell me what do you think?

Now its your turn to play along.  You have until September 2 to enter the challenge.

The lucky winner will win the nice prize pack you see below:
