Hello everyone!! I’m here today with AAA Cards Challenge again.
Guess what??? I won their Love challenge!! How exciting is that!! I was totally shocked when I saw my name!!
Thank you ladies for that pleasant surprise.
The new challenge is all about Orange!!
Take a look at my cards:
I added a touch of orange to both of my cards. I also added a touch of glitter as well. I decided to use some of my Stampin’ Up! stuff. I have tons of it and I hardly use them.
Hello everyone! I’m here again today with Papertrey Ink’s 8th Year Celebration! They introduced their new Blue Skies line.
For this challenge they wanted us to create a blue ombre card using all of our favorite shades of blue. It could be an ombre background, several of the same image stamped in shades of blue, ombre inking of a bold stamp or whatever else we could dream up!
For my one layer card I decided to go with an ombre background, take a look:
I love how this card turned out. So what do you think? Let me know.
Hello everyone!! I’m here today with Top Dog Dies and a new elephant die that is totally adorable.
Take a look for yourself:
A big elephant, small elephant, a heart, balloon and flower! Great set.
Take a look at the card I created using this set:
True love between a mother and her child is an amazing feeling. That is what these two elephants have with one another.
Those hearts are from my watercolor piece that I used the other day. I loved this paper I used it on all of my cards this week. LOL!!
All I did was die cute my elephants from fog cardstock and the hearts out of my watercolor piece. I adhered them to the front of my cards. I stamped my sentiment and that’s it!!
So tell me what you think ? I would love to hear from you!!
Hello everyone!! Its that time of the week again!! CASology time!!
The cue card word this week is so fitting since Valentine’s Day is this Saturday. Can you guess the word is this week?
Take a look:
What is love!! When I was a kid there used to be a comic in the LA Times called Love Is….. totally my favorite comic. I used to clip the comic everyday. I’m not even sure why we received the LA Times, I lived in Brooklyn.
When I saw the word “Love”, my thoughts went straight to this comic! So I wanted to sure one with all of you.
These are the cutest comics ever. That heart made me smile so I decided that I wanted hearts on my card.
Remember my watercolor panel I created a couple of days ago? I punched a couple more hearts out of it to used on this card.
Take a look at my card:
I love how this card turned out. The idea came from Laura Bassen, she used her sewing machine to attached her hearts to the card panel. I didn’t think my needle would go through the paper so I used glue to hold them in place.
Lets take a closer look at those hearts:
Can you see the gold shimmer on that heart that’s in focus? I love how that turned out.
Beautiful watercolor
I stacked those hearts in threes and pinched them so that they are raised.
I love how the sentiment nestles right up to the hearts! Are you wondering what my card says?
The prize this week is a from Lawn Fawn. This week’s winner will receive not only their choice of a stamp set from the store, but will also receive a 6×6 paper pad of their choice!
I’m linking my card up to AAA Card Challenge. Their theme is Love. I haven’t played along with them in such a long time. I’m super glad I have a chance to play again.
Hello everyone!! I’m here today with Waffle Flower Crafts New Photo Challenge!! The colors for this challenge are so pretty. I was in awe when I say the colors. They are so deep and very rich!
I thought long and hard about what I wanted to create using these colors. It had to be meaningful because the colors called for it. So I decided that I wanted to use the new DT Mix Stamp Set.
The sentiment ” You Will Forever Be My Always”, has a deep sentimental meaning in the corners of my heart. I have a small story for you, you might need a tissue. So get ready.
A couple of years ago before my daughter was born, her father and I use to listen to the radio in the car all the time. There was one song that use to come on all the time. It was a country song by a women I didn’t recognized.
At first we didn’t realize that song played each and every time we were in the car together. One evening he picked me up from work and the song was on and I asked him if he knew what the name of the song was or who sang the song. We loved the song but didn’t know the name of it. So right there and then, I called that radio station to find out who sang the song and the name.
The DJ said it was Forever And For Always by Shania Twain. He asked me if I wanted to hear it and I said yes, and dedicated it to Ray! That song became our song. He always said we will be together “forever and for always”, because “we just fit”.
December 25, 2005 we found out that we were going to have a baby, on December 28, 2005 he died from cardiovascular disease. He never did get chance to see our daughter who is going to 9 this year, but he did keep his promise. He is with me through her “Forever and for Always”!
So I made my card in memory of him!
Take a look:
Thanks Tessa for creating that sentiment just for me! I love how this card turn out. Its a CAS card with a lot of sophistication.
4. I cut my baby elephant from Top Dog Dies Elephants Die Set out of fog cardstock and the little heart out of the cotton candy cardstock.
5. Now its time to put the card together. I adhered the stitched circle to the card base first. Then I attached the flower die. Then I adhered the elephant and heart inside the flower circle. I used foam adhesive.
Debby Hughes is the guest designer for Challenge #14. I totally love her work so I knew I wanted to play along with her.
Take a look at her tag:
I created a water color piece for another card and decided to use some of that for a focal point on my tag.
I used my Koi Watercolors to create this piece. I spritz some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine (which is on sale at Michael’s for $5.99 (in the store)). I love the gold shimmer.
Now take a look at my tag:
Don’t you just love that heart!! I love how that watercolor piece turned out. I punch a bunch of hearts from that watercolor piece.
Take a closer look at my tag:
I added some gold shine to that watercolor piece. I love how it turned out. So do you want to know how I create this tag?
Hello everyone!! I’m back again with Papertrey Inks Day 2 Challenge. I’m going backward then I will go forward. I don’t know why I started in the middle but here I am, LOL!!!
Day 2 instruction are to create a new project that is inspired by one of Maile Belles‘ creations.
I love how she stacked the word Love on her card so I decided to create a “Congrats” card using the same technique. I used the Wet Paint III stamp set.
