Hello everyone!  I’m here again today with Papertrey Ink’s 8th Year Celebration!  They introduced their new Blue Skies line.

For this challenge they wanted us to create a blue ombre card using all of our favorite shades of blue.  It could be an ombre background, several of the same image stamped in shades of blue, ombre inking of a bold stamp or whatever else we could dream up!

For my one layer card I decided to go with an ombre background, take a look:

Thanks for everything

I love how this card turned out.  So what do you think? Let me know.

Hello everyone!!  I’m here again with CS Take It Make It: Take a Technique for our February Challenge.

Our theme is Stenciling!!! No specific stenciling technique, just make sure you use a stencil somehow, somewhere on your project.

Remember, if you do not have stencils, cut or punch shapes from a piece of cardstock or acetate and use that as a stencil.

Take a look at my inspiration project:

I used my new Pretty Pink Posh Peek-A-Boo Die to create a window for my beautiful So Suzy Stamps Chicky with Egg stamped image.

I colored my little chick with Copic Markers:Y15, Y17, Y19, B00, B02, B04, R20 and R22.

CASology 133 – Love

Hello everyone!! Its that time of the week again!!  CASology time!!

The cue card word this week is so fitting since Valentine’s Day is this Saturday.  Can you guess the word is this week?

Take a look:

Week 133 - Love

What is love!! When I was a kid there used to be a comic in the LA Times called Love Is….. totally my favorite comic.  I used to clip the comic everyday.  I’m not even sure why we received the LA Times, I lived in Brooklyn.

When I saw the word “Love”, my thoughts went straight to this comic!  So I wanted to sure one with all of you.

Love IsThese are the cutest comics ever.  That heart made me smile so I decided that I wanted hearts on my card.

Remember my watercolor panel I created a couple of days ago?  I punched a couple more hearts out of it to used on this card.

Watercolor piece 2

Take a look at my card:

I love how this card turned out.  The idea came from Laura Bassen,  she used her sewing machine to attached her hearts to the card panel.  I didn’t think my needle would go through the paper so I used glue to hold them in place.

Lets take a closer look at those hearts:

I love you closeup1

Can you see the gold shimmer on that heart that’s in focus? I love how that turned out.

I love you closeup2

Beautiful watercolor

I love you closeup3

I stacked those hearts in threes and pinched them so that they are raised.

I love how the sentiment nestles right up to the hearts!  Are you wondering what my card says?

Saranghaeyo means I  Love You in Korean.  The stamp set is Waffle Flower Craft DT Mix Stamp Set.

Nice clean and simple!!  What do you think?

Check out what my fellow DT Members have created!!

Waffle Flower Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with Waffle Flower Crafts New Photo Challenge!!  The colors for this challenge are so pretty.  I was in awe when I say the colors.  They are so deep and very rich!

Photo challenge

I thought long and hard about what I wanted to create using these colors.  It had to be meaningful because the colors called for it.  So I decided that I wanted to use the new DT Mix Stamp Set.

The sentiment ” You Will Forever Be My Always”, has a deep sentimental meaning in the corners of my heart.  I have a small story for you, you might need a tissue. So get ready.

A couple of years ago before my daughter was born, her father and I use to listen to the radio in the car all the time.  There was one song that use to come on all the time.  It was a country song by a women I didn’t recognized.

At first we didn’t realize that song played each and every time we were in the car together.  One evening he picked me up from work and the song was on and I asked him if he knew what the name of the song was or who sang the song.  We loved the song but didn’t know the name of it.  So right there and then, I called that radio station to find out who sang the song and the name.

The DJ said it was Forever And For Always by Shania Twain.  He asked me if I wanted to hear it and I said yes, and dedicated it to Ray!  That song became our song.  He always said we will be together “forever and for always”,  because “we just fit”.

December 25, 2005 we found out that we were going to have a baby, on December 28, 2005 he died from cardiovascular disease.  He never did get chance to see our daughter who is going to 9 this year, but he did keep his promise.  He is with me through her “Forever and for Always”!

So I made my card in memory of him!

Take a look:

You Will Forever Be My Always1

Thanks Tessa for creating that sentiment just for me!  I love how this card turn out. Its a CAS card with a lot of sophistication.

I learned this Border Gap Die-Cutting and Masking technique from the Online Card Class Clean and Simple 4.

This card was easy to create.

Just use a border die and cut my front panel into three pieces.

Then I used masking tape to cover up the different “waves” so that ink doesn’t transfer onto them while I’m blending.

Once the blending is done, I stamped my sentiment at the top and added some gold sequin to highlight the sentiment.

I added foam tape to the back of the panel and adhered it to the card front.

Once you know what to do, its a breeze to recreate this card again.

So what do you thing of my card?  Now you know a little bit more about me. So what do you thing?

I’m going to live you with the video of the song so you can listen the words of the song.

Second Post for the day

If your looking for my Valentine Tag, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m back with another challenge that I haven’t played with in a very long time.

The Less is More Challenge is celebrating their 4th Year!  How exciting is this!!  I’m so glad I get to play along with them this week.

This week is a color challenge and the color are Pink and Grey!

I love these colors.  My high school uniform was pink and grey and I loved wearing it!!  The colors just matched perfectly. LOL!!!

Take a look at my card:

OMG!!  Isn’t that little baby elephant the cutest animal you’ve seen!!!  I love it!!

Here’s how I created this card:

1. I cut Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock to an A2 size(4.25 x 5.50) top folding card.

2. I cut a flower using Waffle Flower Craft Flower Circles Die Set out of Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy cardstock and some scrap white card stock for depth.

3. I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Wafer Die to cut a circle out of Authentique Classique: Pretty Pattern paper.

4. I cut my baby elephant from Top Dog Dies Elephants Die Set out of fog cardstock and the little heart out of the cotton candy cardstock.

5.  Now its time to put the card together. I adhered the stitched circle to the card base first. Then I attached the flower die.  Then I adhered the elephant and heart inside the flower circle. I used foam adhesive.

6. I added the love sentiment from Crate Paper Kiss Kiss Rub Ons.

7. I adhered Stampin’ Up! rhinestone to both sides of the sentiment.

That’s it!!  I think this card is so cute!!  What do you think?  Let me know.

I’m also linking up to AAA Card Challenge.  The theme is Love.  I’m super happy that I get to play along with them this time.

I used my Koi Watercolors to create this piece.  I spritz some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine (which is on sale at Michael’s for $5.99 (in the store)). I love the gold shimmer.

Now take a look at my tag:

ValentineDon’t you just love that heart!!  I love how that watercolor piece turned out. I punch a bunch of hearts from that watercolor piece.

I added some gold shine to that watercolor piece.  I love how it turned out.  So do you want to know how I create this tag?

Well here you go:

I die cut my tag using Reverse Confetti Tag Me, Too Confetti Cuts out of Crate Paper “Kiss Kiss” patterned paper.

I used Crate Paper Kiss Kiss Rub Ons to add the circle hearts to the center and the sentiment at the bottom of my tag.

I used Stampin’ Up! Sweetheart Punch and punch a heart out of my watercolor piece that I created.

I adhered the heart to the center of that circle.

CS Take It Make It: Take A Technique

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our February Challenge.

You are going to love this months challenge.  I had so much fun creating my card for this challenge.  So do you want to know what the challenge is?

Its all about Stenciling!!  No specific stenciling technique, just make sure you use a stencil somehow, somewhere on your project.

If you do not have stencils, cut or punch shapes from a piece of cardstock or acetate and use that as a stencil!!

Super easy and super cool!!

Take a look at my project:

(CS Take it) Enjoy

I used two different stencils and embossing paste to create this card.  I totally love how my card turned out. My inspiration comes from my current online card class Clean and Simple 4.

This is how I created this card:

1. I cut my ranger watercolor paper to 4 x 5.25.  My card base was cut to 4.25 x 5.50.

2. I used my watercolor brush to add clean water to the corners of my watercolor paper panel.  I used my Koi Watercolor to add two different colors to the corners of my watercolor panel.  I just added color with no thinking as to how I wanted it to look.  I heat set the paint.

3. Then I position my Hero Arts Triangle Pattern Stencil over my watercolor panel and secured it with painter’s tape.

4. I added a very think layer of Ranger Textured Paste over my stencil making sure to smooth it over the entire stencil.

5. I carefully remove the stencil and wash the paste off of the stencil.  I allowed the paste to try.

6. Once the pasted dried, I position my second stencil, the  Heidi Swapp Bird Stencil Set, over my watercolor panel where I want the flowers to be.

7. I applied a thin layer of embossing paste over the stencil, making sure to have an even impression. I carefully lifted the stencil and washed it right away.

8. I die cut the sentiment from Penny Black Hooray Die Set and adhered it to my embossed panel.  I used my hand to hold the sentiment in place for a couple of minutes.

9. I added some Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Bakers Twine and some Pretty Pink Posh Sequin.

10. I adhered the completed panel to my card base.  I only adhered the top of the panel, leaving the bottom unattached.

So what do you think?  I would love to hear from you.

I used not one but two stencils!!  I challenge you to get your stencils out and play along with us.

We have a great prize pack for you.
